Flames can exist in space as fuel is burnt. On earth, oxygen is a common fuel component; but it is not, strictly speaking, necessary for flames to exist. Any oxidizer can subsituted for oxygen in permitting a fuel to combust and display a visible flame.

Flames can burn in space providing they have the fuel they need to burn...if the alien ships are full of oxygen then when they explode they would create flames...

Ask yourself what is a star? A giant ball of flame (well high intense solar plasma but the principle is the same) burning in space...shouldn't be that much of a stretch...

Looking forward to this...been loving this series so far...bring on IM3 and GOTG!!! And Thor 2...

I hope they dont put any of this stuff in the films. I really dont want to see Iron Man in The Guardians of The Galaxy movie...

Hes cool and all but I mean Tony is basically a narcissistic douchebag lol

Let every hero have theyre chance! They deserve it more...
