ETERNALS: Captain America Demands Answers From The Immortals This April As The Avengers Gear Up For War

Marvel Comics has revealed the cover for Eternals #10, an issue that's set to pit Captain America against Kingo as the stage is set for a storyline that promises to pit the immortals against The Avengers.

Over the last year, writer Kieron Gillen and artist Esad Ribić have revolutionized the Eternals mythology in their acclaimed run on Marvel Comics' Eternals. Long-hidden truths about the nature of these God-like beings have been revealed, forever changing their role in the Marvel Universe, and this year, the Eternals will have brand-new enemies to contend with...The Avengers!

The two teams have crossed paths before, but it sounds like Earth's Mightiest (human) Heroes are done with secrets and will demand that the Eternals explain themselves.

However, the Eternals have other plans, as Ajak has made contact with her Celestial God. Will she receive the answers she’s been searching for or is she putting Earth at risk? That remains to be seen, but Marvel Comics is gearing up for war between the two teams, and "Judgement Day Is Coming."

Timeless teased the possibility of an event story in 2022 pitting the Eternals vs. The Avengers vs. the X-Men, so something tells us the stage is going to be set here for that as well.

Now, we have some amazing cover art showing Captain America clashing with Kingo. This is from issue #10 of Eternals (which is set to be released on March 9), while issue #11 is set to follow on April 13. More will no doubt be revealed soon, but it's an exciting time to be a fan of these characters!

Kingo could’ve at least tried to look that cool. I don’t even mean the fact that he worked out and kept his shirt on, which he should’ve kept on and showed people if he didn’t want to have that self image problem he had, I just mean all the Eternals looked rather bland, except Thena. The white popped, it was a vibe. I hate that word, it’s bussin

@TheWalkingCuban - I thought Kingo looked great.
I'm glad everyone didn't have a comic book adventure look to them

@cerrone6 - I suppose we’re on two ends of the spectrum. Street Fighter shapes and sizes were diverse. MK were all the same, no one muscular or fat or monstrous (past tense, I’m thinking early on) yet both were great games. To me the Eternals could never do a cool Avengers pose. It’s all about that line. But man no one is a weird color, or looked outlandishly muscular, or wore a mask or helmet. Just kinda samey, which is why I frr we let that the white really popped.

I thought Cap was fighting an anime character for a second there! Kinda surprised that the comics didn’t change the characters to look more like the movie versions, like they usually do

Always thought the Eternals as designed by Kirby had a unique style. It worked.

Eternals comic book is OK, it a bit boring in places,the artwork is fantastic though.

Sounds just like the movie.
