LOKI's Miss Minutes Will Make Her Comic Book Debut This December In The Pages Of TIMELESS #1

Hey, y'all! Loki breakout character Miss Minutes will make her comic book debut this December, and we have a first look at that courtesy of a new piece of artwork by Humberto Ramos (Amazing Spider-Man).

This December, Kang the Conqueror looks set to embark on an epic journey across space and time to discover the future of the Marvel Universe in writer Jed MacKay's Timeless #1

It sounds like the comic book will be a very big deal, and Marvel Comics is hyping it up by unveiling a variant cover by Humberto Ramos that confirms Miss Minutes is coming to the Marvel Universe. The fan-favourite character debuted in Marvel Studios' Disney+ TV series Loki, and was voiced by Tara Strong (whose voice it will be impossible to not hear while reading this one-shot).

The delightfully mysterious being turned out to be a fierce ally to He Who Remains in the show and now makes her Marvel Comics debut just in time for one of Kang’s greatest sagas. We're definitely intrigued to see how she'll be portrayed on the page, but visually, Miss Minutes looks near identical.

The special one-shot will lay the groundwork for some of Marvel’s most exciting 2022 stories and this week, fans got to see a series of mysterious teasers showcasing the surprising moments that await when Kang finds himself in a war against time itself. The teasers pose questions about Thanos’ new weapon, Doctor Doom’s future meddling, and Anatoly Petrov’s role as Kang’s companion on this quest.

Timeless #1 will be released on December 29. Check out the Miss Minutes cover below:

comics are just promotional pamphlets these days and its sad.

@rebellion - As much as I hate to admit it, you’re right. They mostly take things from the movies instead of pioneering the way for the movies

@PantherKing - How is that a bad thing though? Movies have taken over the storytelling aspects of characters that the comics replicate those stories now. It's just the times we live in now.

@SonOfAGif - thats a good point. Now that you mention it, it kinda makes that one popular medium borrows from another (more) popular medium.

Kinda reminds me of the Arkham Knight (Astrid Arkham version) or the Injustice comics are great examples of comics expanding already grear stuff.

SonOfAGif - 11/4/2021, 6:32 PM
@bkmeijer - Exactly. Look at how videogames are pioneering stories and concepts that studios are trying to replicate and evolve in movie or show form. And how studios use comics to act as preludes to movies or shows. Every medium now piggybacks off the other where movies are kind of leading the storytelling with superheroes m

@SonOfAGif -

Such as how Strange got his Infinity Stone back if the original was destroyed by Thanos and if the time-displaced one has been returned back to its time ? And if he didn't got it back, why does he keep his amulet in No Way Home if it's now completely useless ?
PantherKing
PantherKing - 11/4/2021, 7:05 PM
@SonOfAGif - Because Marvel comics Comic Events are no longer innovative but try to rethread on the movies
2016- captain America civil war- Civil war 2
2018- Avengers: infinity war - infinity wars
2021- LOKI/what if- Avengers forever/timeless

@Amuro - when did Strange get the Time Stone back? For all we know the Eye of Agamotto has a different purpose now

@rebellion @PantherKing - I understand this, but it has also been happening since comic books got adaptations. The radio show introduced Jimmy Olsen; the comics incorporated him. The original Alfred was a bumbling, fat, clean shaved wannabe detective/actor and was cast as a tall, skinny, stoic guy with a mustache in the Batman serials, which then got turned into the comics Alfred.

I think it's just more noticeable now with the sheer number of them. Back then, adaptations were rarer and so comics weren't doing this every single year but they DID do it whenever an adaptation was made.

@Amuro - that isn't an Endgame or infinity war unanswered question. It's whatever movie they put that in question to be answered

@SonOfAGif - beacause of what it use to be. Times change, but to see the forcefeed of "you WILL like this because we promote it until you give in" is not a good feeling. The thrill of comics was not knowing what to expect, or having high expectations and leaving more surprised than when you went in, anticipating what's next. Now it's amateur hour stand-up with "fill in the hero" and check every box possible with the surrounding cast. It's factory franchise 🐃💩.

@MeAreLegend - well officer, I’m about to see the chick who ghosted me in a few hours… it’s gonna be awkward. First time after ghost is supposed to be awkward. But that second time? That’s when you can joke about it, BAM, good graces. Happened with another girl. It’s my eyelashes man, girls wish they had em, they would pay for em. They don’t know it’s congenital, I have cancer of the eyelash, singular, it’s in remission

All in all I was let down by miss minutes. No coup de gras, no turntables turned, very little plot wise from her. Should’ve at least been like a minor boss in Death Mountain, like that giant Goron
