Marvel Comics has announced another of their "Free Comic Book Day" offerings with Avengers/X-Men #1. Featuring three stories, the issue will offer a first look at Judgement Day, Kieron Gillen and Valerio Schiti's upcoming event that will see the Avengers try desperately to avert a war between the Eternals and the X-Men.
Our first glimpse at the conflict will be with a prelude story by Gillen and artist Dustin Weaver, while we're also set to attend the X-Men's second annual Hellfire Gala courtesy of a story from X-Men writer Gerry Duggan and artist Matteo Lolli. Last year, mutantkind terraformed Mars and announced a new team, but what do they have in store for the Marvel Universe this time around?
Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men #1 will also mark the exciting debut of a new hero that Marvel reportedly has big plans for in 2022. We'll meet Bloodline in an introduction story by writer Danny Lore and artist Karen Darboe.
Marvel Comics is definitely pulling out all the stops for this year's "Free Comic Book Day" as we're also getting a Spider-Man/Venom issue featuring a first look at a new era for Amazing Spider-Man from writer Zeb Wells and legendary artist John Romita Jr. You can find more details on that here.
This special one-shot arrives on May 7, and you can check out the cover art below:
