Marvel Comics Reveals Ryan Ottley's HULK #14 Cover As Bruce Banner's Deadly Persona, Titan, Is Unleashed

In the pages of Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley's action-packed run on the Hulk comic book series, Bruce Banner has jetted off to the far reaches of space and found a new home for himself - an entire planet of Hulk-like creatures thriving under the heat of a gamma star!

On this Hulk Planet, Bruce is worshipped and enjoying a peace he’s never known...but where the Hulk goes, destruction follows. Titan, the deadliest Hulk in Marvel Comics history, refuses to be suppressed any longer, and Bruce is about to pay a terrible price for believing he was ever in control.

Written and drawn by Ottley, the breathtaking finale to this dramatic new Hulk saga will play out in this April's issue #14, and it's said we can expect surprise revelations and shocking twists that will smash open the way to what’s next for the character.

Titan is now in control, and his endless rage may destroy Hulk Planet. Within the remaining fragments of the Mind Palace, Bruce Banner must reckon with the harm he has inflicted on the Hulk if either of them are to have any chance of regaining control and saving the planet.

However, Bruce knows better than anyone that once a part of the Hulk has unlocked itself, there’s no closing that door ever again!

"It’s been so much fun to finally tackle working on the Hulk. And being able to write the last four issues of this arc and bring some story elements to fruition was such a challenge but I’ve enjoyed it the whole way," Ottley says. "Drawing comics is what I’m used to, writing is a whole different animal, but doing both jobs was great and makes me want to do it more often!"

"Feels sad to wrap up the arc and move on, but it’s definitely one of my favorite comic experiences. Hulk will always be one of my favorite Marvel heroes," he continues. "And now with Titan added to the rogues gallery, hopefully we’ll see him again someday in all his fury and glory!"

Check out Ottley's epic cover for Hulk #14 below.

So, as well as the hulk, Banner is also… an even more destruct an evil hulk. Pff, not the greatest idea I’ve ever heard

I like Ryan as a person. He's a gifted artist...

Having said that, I can't wait until this storyline is dead and buried. Not a fan

Cates Venom was great for the most part but he's run on The Hulk hasn't been that great, some nice art but sadly that's it.

I think the idea of Titan is interesting but the story thus far has been lacking.

So HULK is needed. Again. By a new version of himself... nah.

Honestly, any writer coming onto Hulk after Immortal was always gonna suffer a similar fate. A 50-issue, ICONIC run that redefined the character is never an easy thing to follow. I actually wish we had gotten to see Cates run over a number of years, because I feel the "Starship Hulk" thing just threw people off, and it was never going to last the entire time anyway.

Anywho, hope Cates is doing okay, and looking forward to whoever takes on Hulk after. (Wish we'd gotten Ottley on it for longer too, his art is greaaaat for Hulk)

@SeanMPC - I think fans expected a lot more from Cates, especially coming off his Venom run,Thor run was slightly better than his Hulk run.

@marvel72 - I really like his Thor run, and tbh I think his Hulk run would have been better received had it come at literally any other time than straight after Immortal.

I think it also suffered from not continuing some of the stuff Ewing did in Immortal, and not picking up where he left.

For example, when Ewing and Ram V took over Venom, they picked up where Donny left off and expanded on it much more. It felt like an evolution of Cates' story. Same can't be said for the new Hulk run.

(I get that new writers don't have to do this when they take over a book, and obviously have their own direction they want to go, but that feels like a major part of why fans didn't warm to the new Hulk run too well either.)

There is NOTHING like the Hulk anywhere in Marvel, DC any comic book has a character / Superhero like the Hulk. It's why he is my favorite Superhero because he is the most complicated character ever in comics.

The Indestructible, Immortal Hulk can't be killed or die. Unlimited strength hasn't been determined yet in comics just gets stronger.

@DoubleD - A-Bomb, Red Hulk, She-Hulk, Bat-Hulk, Maul, Skaar, I think every character in comics has a knockoff version at this point.

@UncleHarm1 - That's what happens when they get Hulk's blood and none of them still compared to the Hulk's powers and abilities. Still only one Hulk. Its why General Ross wants Hulks blood but none those versions are the Hulk or will ever be the one and only Hulk.

“Titan, the deadliest Hulk in Marvel Comics history” unto another writer creates a more deadly Hulk. Yawn.

@RolandD - New writer, new Hulk personality.

@soberchimera - Exactly. What was once a new and different thing, is now a Hulk trope.
