Marvel Short Fan-Script: MAN-THING

My short script for Marvel's MAN-THING which serves as a prequel to Iron Man 3. I posted this here two months ago but accidentally removed it so this is a re-post.

FADE IN.
INT. SCIENTIFIC LAB -- NIGHT
A messy desk, covered in scientific equipment. ZOOM along the table- A FILE LABELLED “PROJECT GLADIATOR”. A hand lifts it- TED SALLIS. Also in the room- ELLEN BRANDT and ALDRICH KILLIAN.

KILLIAN: I’m just gonna presume all of the necessary work is done.

SALLIS: Well, some simple corrections may need to be...

KILLIAN: No. First tests are coming up in a few weeks. The labs are expecting the first shipments in the next few days.

ELLEN: Look, we know this but it’s not ready. I’d like to see you handle a task like this. Don’t forget, SHIELD is hot on our heels too.

KILLIAN: Wait, SHIELD? They know what’s going on? I could be arrested.

SALLIS: No. They want us to try to recreate the super soldier serum but we’re tweaking it a little to your preference.

Killian lifts the Project Gladiator file.

KILLIAN: Lies.

SALLIS: No.

Killian takes out a gun. This is noticed by Ellen who reaches for a metal bar.

KILLIAN: I don't like liars. You broke my promise. I don't like people who break promises either...

Killian shoots at Ellen’s foot.

KILLIAN: Drop the bar.

Sallis takes the only EXTREMIS injection currently made, holds it high.

SALLIS: I wouldn't go any further...

KILLIAN: Give... it to me

SALLIS: No.

KILLIAN: GIVE IT TO ME!
Killian shoots at chemicals on the desk, THEY EXPLODE and the DESK catches fire and COLLAPSES which causes more chemicals to EXPLODE in domino effect. This knocks the three characters down.

On Sallis as he rolls about in pain-

Killian struggles to his feet, looks around, the small lab is engulfed in flames.

He moves over to Sallis and takes the injection from the ground and stabs it into Sallis’ arm.

Sallis SCREAMS IN AGONY as the liquid pushes its way into his injured body.
Killian runs out, leaving Ellen and Sallis to burn.

Ellen looks over to Sallis, who is still SCREAMING. The FIRE is causing parts of the roof to fall in.
WE ZOOM THROUGH SALLIS’ BODY IN CGI AND WE SEE THE EXTREMIS BONDING TO BLOOD CELL’S, HIS SKIN EXPANDS. His hand grows, turning a Scaly green.

The ground collapses, sending them the next floor. This happens three times...
...FLOORS just falling through each other...

EXT. OUTSIDE -- CONTINUOS
A large crowd is gathering, watching in AWE as the small building is crumbling.

INT. INSIDE -- CONTINUOS
Ellen crawls along the floor, heavily wounded, the life draining out of her.

ELLEN: Ted... Ted are you there? Ted are you OK?
A faint monstrous groan can be heard coming from the darkness.

ELLEN: Ted?
SMASH.
A broken table is fired across, just missing her.

ELLEN PANICS as a silhouette of a monster can be seen in the fiery rubble. More faint groans.

ELLEN: Ted, PLEASE ANSWER!
She turns around to run and leave as stomps are heard.
She turns around again. MAN-THING is seen towering over her.

ELLEN: Oh, god. Ted?
Man-Thing digs into her face with his claws, scarring her, she falls to the ground crying.
Man-Thing runs of into the Darkness.

FADE OUT.
