Avengers: Armageddon, the five-issue event series by writer Chip Zdarsky and artists Frank Alpizar and Delio Diaz, is now underway.

In addition to igniting an all-new era of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers #1 by Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto this November, the event sets the stage for a radically transformed Marvel Universe, with fallout extending into titles like the recently announced Maximum X-Men and various ongoing titles and upcoming limited series.

There will be a pre-Armageddon and a post-Armageddon Marvel Universe as the Avengers' epic battle with Red Hulk in Latveria changes the way Marvel’s heroes are viewed forever.

Today, we have a glimpse of what awaits following this explosive global conflict, including an all-new arc of Captain America, J. Jonah Jason's return to old ways in Amazing Spider-Man, and Doctor Doom's new look in Black Panther/Namor: Doomed.

It's an exciting time to be a Marvel Comics fan, especially with Stephen Wacker appointed new Editor-in-Chief. It will likely be a while until we see the impact he has on the Marvel Universe, but Armageddon is setting the stage for a new era of storytelling that puts an exciting new team of Avengers front and centre.

Check out this first look at Marvel's post-Armageddon titles below and stay tuned for updates as we have them.

Seriously cannot stand JRJr's art, and that Dave Johnson cover is very...kinky.

They should just not have J Jonah Jameson in the comics or the Daily Bugle, not really a necessary part of this character
