SPOILERS: The Character Returning In SECRET EMPIRE #9 Has Been Revealed And It Will Blow Your Mind

Today's issues of Captain America #25 and Secret Empire #8 revealed that Bucky is, in fact, alive and has been hiding in plain sight in Atlantis. After being strapped to a plane full of explosives by Baron Zemo, most fans thought the former Winter Solider was dead and likely to be revived via the Cosmic Cube but he's alive and well and ready to join the fight against his old friend who is now loyal to Hydra.

With that big twist comes the uncensored version of the Secret Empire #9 cover, and as you can see, Bucky is back in action against Zemo and clearly ready to join the fight against the evil Captain America.

It's not clear what the future holds in store for Bucky after Secret Empire. We know Steve Rogers is getting his own solo series but there's been no mention of this fan-favourite character. With any luck, he'll be given a supporting role in the Mark Waid/Chris Samnee series but we'll have to wait and see. Are you excited to see the hero back in the land of the living?
