Why MCU Fanboys Are Hurting Marvel Movies, Fans And More

Why do the MCU fanboys hurt the image of the MCU, perception of REAL marvel fans, Fox & WB comic book movies, and the other divisions at Marvel

This issue has been bothering me for a long time! This site has been taken over by this group and no one will dare speak out against them but today is the last straw! I will not tolerate this issue any longer and I will go in-depth about why the MCU fanboys are hurting everything! I will divide this editorial into sections so you guys can see where and how the damage has been made.

MARVEL CINEMATIC FILMS
I'll start off with a really big category, the films! The Marvel Cinematic Universe has made billions in dollars and has made an impact on films, mostly being tied universes.  However, like every universe, it doesn't come without it's flaws. One major problem with MCU films are the villains! Almost every single one has been a disappointment whether it was turning the powerful and threatening Mandarin to some weak, skinny white guy who literally dies the minute after saying he is the real mandarin by being hit by a pipe (very anticlimatic) or malekith who was powerful but lacked any kind of characterization whatsoever or Ultron who instead of being a murderous robot who kicks the crap out the avenegers, is a comedian who can get beat up by a single member of the team or YellowJacket who was just meh overall or the worse one out of them all, Zemo! The guy who did almost nothing but break out Bucky, no ties to hydra and gets beaten by black panther putting his arm around him (epic fail).

Now these are kinda opinion but everything I stated was true! This issue gets a pass by the MCU fanboys every movie! Why? Because it's sheep mentality! These guys need to speak up and say "Hey this is unacceptable, we need a well rounded villain!" instead of "It's a marvel movie so it gets a pass!"

Another issue is studio interference! We know for sure that Disney and Marvel studios changed a lot of Age of Ultron and the movie didn't end up being this darker, Empire Strikes Back-like movie that the trailers made it out to be. Joss confirmed that the movie was a mess and it resulted in him not returning to direct another marvel movie. How about instead of butchering movies, we let the studios know what we expect and what we want!

Finally, the MCU is not perfect! No matter how much you like Captain America or Iron Man being adapted on the big screen, there are those not-so-good movies. Despite opinion, you must come to reality at some point and realize that despite your huge love for a company, you shouldn't try to love everything.

Marvel Fans
I call them MCU fanboys because I don't consider these guys real marvel fans (more on that later) but I think the real marvel fans shouldn't be associated with these clowns. People like DannyRand on this site is more of a marvel guy than a DC guy but he's an honest fan and gives praise to DC for what he likes. Giving other companies praise is like commiting suicide to these fanboys. I want the people who are not tied to Kevin Feige's cult of morons to lecture these immature children.

Other Studios
Warner Bros and Fox are the two other major studios who make CBM and that automatically makes them competition. I can understand WB because they are all DC but Fox? Why? They are Marvel as well! I guess if they aren't standing next to Cap or Iron man they suck am I right? Opinions are opinions but the fanboys are extremely ridiculous and childish when it comes to competition. Claiming that The Dark Knight was HORRIBLE, Fox has never made one good marvel movie and other crazy crap like that! There are more decisive ones such as Lex luthor in BvS but at least he had henchman to build up a fight and was more hands-on with the proccess (and more entertaining) than a certain generic dude who I wouldn't be able to tell if he was the villain for next years Call Of Duty or a marvel movie. It's funny how the DC fans call out WB for studio interference for SS but not Disney with AOU. As for Fox, I seriously do not understand this rivarly! IT IS MARVEL, XMEN ARE A PART OF MARVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can go on and on but I am limited with time.

TELEVISION
When Daredevil debuted, it was met with high praise but for some reason the MCU fanboys didn't praise it for a while. Maybe I'm going crazy but since AOS was clearly more tied the MCU than daredevil and TV competition wasn't all that fierce I guess they didn't go crazy over it. As time went on, DC started to add more shows and build up a universe. Since then, the MCU fanboys are saying "HAHAHA DC SHOWS ARE KIDDIE THE NETFLIX SHOWS ARE FOR US ADULTS." which contradictory because one, you don't act like adults and two, Disney goes through the effort of butchering a film just to make it more accesible for kids. And when Luke Cage came out they all said it was boring. I understand that the netflix shows aren't very exciting (that's were DC shows shine) but flat out boring? C'mon!

COMICS
We all know the current state of marvel comics but MCU fanboys are real marvel fans so they don't care. That's all for this section!

VIDEO GAMES
I am a big gamer as some of you have noticed! I love franchises such as Final Fantasy, Zelda, Persona, Uncharted, Battlefield and many more. DC games are amazing! I loved the batman games and enjoyed injustice (hype for the sequel). Marvel on the other hand, BLEH! All they have done is crappy and scammy mobile games. Where are the AAA games? LOL ok I already know the answer! Sony is terrible at movies but their games studios are top notch and they easily beat the competition. Since the PS4 is selling well and insomiac finished up on sunset overdrive on Xbox One, Marvel Games (led by a former Blizzard employee) let them do Spiderman (in exchange for letting spidey in MCU I assume). Now platform of choice may be a bit tricky for some people and I easily understand but nonetheless I expect some pretty big sales from Spiderman PS4. MCU fanboys, will you support this game or not?

That's it! Now that my rant is over what do you guys think?

I'm not going to argue with you. Cause I can tell it would be a waste of time. But if you want good insight into Zemo, go to the Masters of Evil editorial just a couple down from yours, and read my comment on Zemo.

Its true. Marvel Fanboys seem deeply insecure and rate their movies much higher than they are.

@PSDC14

I will say I prefer Marvel to DC, but I wish both franchises well.

That being said, I believe your logic is wrong. Marvel fans will defend the Marvel movies, but they are not sheep who will claim they are flawless and DC will always fail.

To go over your points:

1. Marvel villains are terrible - For the most part, yes the villains are weak with a few excepts.

2. Studio interference - Has studio interference affected Marvel movies negatively - Probably.

3. Is the MCU perfect? Hell No.

I won't comment on Video Games or Comics, because I don't really follow them.

But here it is. The MCU are still enjoyable with their flaws. Thats all Marvel fans are saying. Sure, you will get some trolls, but that is unavoidable.

Some Marvel films are Amazing, like Iron Man, GotG, Civil War, etc.. Others are not highly regarded, like Thor 2 or Iron Man 3. But even those ones, if it happens to be on HBO and I click over to it, I know it isn't great, but I usually will end up rewatching it.

The problem with the DCEU, they have arguably released mediocre movies in the their first 3 releases. It didn't start with a bang like Iron MAn for Marvel.
Marvel doesn't get a pass, its just that their good outweighs the bad, and the bad isn't unwatchable, its just not as great as it could be.

I personally think MOS was ok, but I will never watch BvS again bc of how boring it was, and SS was a huge letdown and basically mad the "worst of the worst" bad guys, heroes. Boring as well.

Obviously, this is opinion, but the track record seems to speak for itself. MArvel movies are typically critically and financially successful. DC has been destroyed critically, and by typical movie standards, they have done well financially, but compared to what they should have made, have been disappointments.

All in all, I don't think MArvel fanboys are sheep, its just that the MCU is great, flaws and all. Would I have made different decisions on some movies and characters? of course, but for the most part, the universe is amazing.

Hopefully, DC can get it together.

@ajrmarvel - Well said. All the dislike will hopefully cause DC to pull their heads out of their asses and make something great that we will all love.

Are you that other guy who had a Spider-Man profile picture that would spend all of his time ranting about Marvel, but played it off like he was on both sides? He got his account banned, but I knew that wouldn't keep him down for long.

Im more DC than Marvel, but hell DD, JJ and LC (hopefully IF and DEF) are way better than what DCTV has put out. Marvel Netflix is almost the gold standard.
This is coming from someone who has MoS, TDK, BvS and Watchmen in his top 10 cbms.

Sure some MCU fanboys are sheep, likewise with some DCEU fanboys.

Yh sure having a few digs and laughs 'at the other side' is funny from time to time, buts its essentially become a dick measuring contest (sorry Vogue!)

I really disagree with the whole "sheep mentality" thing. Most MCU fans that I know don't unquestionably love and accept everything Marvel puts out. I'd say the majority of them dislike Thor 2, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 3, and/or Avengers 2. If anything, I'd say that I've seen more DCEU fans who act like all DC films are perfect than the other way around.
