Timeless #1 hit comic book stores yesterday, and as well as delivering a fun Kang the Conqueror adventure, the one-shot teased the (possible) future of the Marvel Universe.
Many potential scenarios were envisioned, some more likely than others. For example, we see Ben Reilly moving from New York City to become Spider-Man in Hollywood as well as Frank Castle's decision to lead a new version of The Hand, something we know is happening in a new Punisher series.
Elsewhere, a new Young Avengers team is shown, as is the return of Jack of Hearts, Captain America's death at the hands of The Winter Soldier, a new Iron Fist, Mary Jane Watson seemingly suited up as Spider-Man alongside Shuri as Black Panther, and even Iron Man becoming Iron God. One of the scariest teases, however, is Thanos wielding a Mjolnir powered by the Infinity Stones.
There were also two huge reveals saved for the end of Timeless we have to discuss. After Marvel Comics gained the rights to Miracleman/Marvelman in 2013, the Fawcett Comics character is finally set to make his debut. Whether Neil Gaiman and Mark Buckingham are still attached to continue the run that picked up where Alan Moore left off remains to be seen.
Oh, and next year, we're also getting Avengers Vs. X-Men Vs. Eternals! Buckle up, folks...
