Official SINISTER 2 Synopsis Unveiled / Shannyn Sossamon Set to Lead

The sequel to the massive box office hit, the 2012 Horror Film "Sinister", set to be released on August 21st, 2015, finally has an official synopsis!

Check it out! - 

"In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of Wayward Pines) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death. James Ransone, who portrayed the concerned sheriff’s deputy in Sinister, will be reprising his character in Sinister 2."

Corresponding with this news, we now know that Shannyn Sossamon (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and James Ransone (Sinister) will star (Ransone having reprised his role as the helpful Deputy from Sinister). Focus Feature also revealed that the film will start shooting next week in Chicago.





Sinister 2 is currently set to be released on August 21st, 2015, and will be directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel). Scott Derrickson will produce.

I think the only horror sequel I've seen that was as good as the first was was REC 2. All others didn't really live up to the first one, hears hoping.

Sinister was good............. Until the ending.

Hope the second is just as good.

Shannyn! - so ridiculously underrated. An absolute cutie and talent.



Always thought she'd make a good Wasp.

As for Sinister, I was surprised as to how much I liked the first one! More creepy than scary but a good movie overall. Not quite sure where they can take the story next but we'll see.
