Marvel has done it again. We are all blown away by the news that not only are they doing the Infinity Gauntlet story, but also Civil War and possibly even Secret Wars (who knows at this point). Many of you have pointed out that the biggest flaw about the upcoming Civil War is that the comic storyline was mainly based on superheroes needing to be registered due to lack of public trust. In the comic, heroes called the New Warriors, end up blowing up a school and killing hundreds of people. This leads to people wanting heroes to register so that the government can better track the people will powers.
I'm not sure how many of y'all watch Agents of Shield but if you have been paying attention you may notice that there has been a new "super" in each of the episodes so far. Add this to the "age of miracles" tag that comes up when talking about Age of Ultron and i bet you can start putting two and two together. Now, I'm not saying that Agents of Shield will introduce huge names likes Spiderman or anything like that, But Nitro, Goliath, Mockingbird, ect. could be set up in this show.
Given that there are at least two more seasons of Agents of Shield before Captain America 3, many many minor superheroes can be introduced easy. Not only that, but Agents of Shield could show the slow shift in public opinion as more and more of these "miracles" show up.
Just for reference, here is a short list of already introduced heroes/ villains:
-Captain America -Iron Man -Thor -Hulk -War Machine -Black Widow -Hawkeye -Vision -Scarlet Witch -Falcon -Mockingbird -Antman -Dr Strange -All of the Guardians -Winter Soldier -The Leader -The Abomination -The Defenders (Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones) -Absorbing Man -Blizzard -Dethlok
These are just to name a "few". I think that with the other shows on Netflix coming out, as well as the 7 years of movies that will either influence the Civil War story, or be influenced by Civil War, there will be plenty of heroes/ villains to use in this story. There may be some key people missing but as long as the FF and Spiderman are at different studios then there isn't much we can do about that. Unless those rumors about Spiderman are true? I guess we will see but until then this is my best guess on how they will set this whole thing up.
If you really think about it, this gives a lot of gravity to a show that many people blow to the side. If this show was the main set up for Civil War, then Marvel would basically force people to watch it just to keep up with current MCU events. How genius is that?
