The Comic Book Story of Beer, is due out in September, check out the website by clicking HERE

The website states,

“There is a lot of history in that beer you’re drinking (or thinking about drinking) right now. Some might dismiss your can of Pilsner or bottle of IPA as nothing more than a throwaway consumer item. But make no mistake. Beer is not only ubiquitous. It is ancient “

Illustrator Aaron McConnell, writer Jonathan Hennessey and professional brewer Mike Smith cover a lot of ground in 173 pages.  In an excerpt from an interview with The Salt, Mike Smith compared the beer drinking community and the comic book community….

The Salt: "Do beer drinkers and comic book fans share common ground?"

Mike Smith: "Yes, certainly. There is a lot of geek overlap between beer and comics. A lot of the same sorts of people who are comic fans are craft beer drinkers. The genres themselves are similar in some ways, too. Just as beer is now exploding, so are comics. They're both mainstreaming now. And, just like we have so many types of beer, with a different beer for every different occasion, in comics there are so many little niches that really allow comic book fans to geek out the way beer people sometimes do, and so beer and comics tend to invite a really similar personality type."

Nice. Thanks! I will definitely try those, without a doubt

I actually had a beer called Three Philosophers this weekend. Amazing stuff, strong but good taste, I liked it a lot. It's 98% Ommegang's Belgian-style quadruple ale and 2% Liefmans's Kriekbier, it's a Belgian cherry ale, awesome stuff, imo

Definitely, I really like that idea man. There was a Fant4stic article awhile back when they were trying to promote the movie by explaining the science and Michio Kaku, I really wasn't feeling Kaku or his explanations but I loved the idea.

I found some cool videos and there's so many more out there and articles. I even found one where Hawking explains the "Grandfather Paradox" haha

But, I really like that idea, right on, I might think of doing something like that, I'd definitely ask for some input too, haha

Haha, yes! Totally, I love taking my mind to those places though. That was one of my major problems with DOFP for me too, the movie was kind of the same way.

Future Kill would be pissed, haha, he really would. I really want a Future Kill comic and movie soon. I really, really want to watch a good time-travel movie, or a movie where explorers travel to different dimensions. I'm so pissed about Fant4stic because the story had such a good premise and I'm craving that movie now. I had a feeling that it was gonna be bad, but Fant4stic didn't leave any lasting impression on me, or take me anywhere, I hate that, especially when you dealing with such great material. They need to come home, soon. Marvel knows how to make a FF movie, especially after Ant-Man

I think we'll get something really special with Doctor Strange, I'm still planning on watching that movie really late and then just thinking about crazy shit for the rest of the night, haha

Multiple Man would be awesome on the big screen too, stuff like that

but I think Strange is really going to delve into a lot of this, and even compare Science to Magic and we can watch Strange go to the mystical side and fight to believe, you know, fight to understand so that he can help himself and others, that movie looks incredible, I hope they release that footage or poster soon

Definitely, hopefully we hear some news from Fox and Marvel about the state of FF soon and the X-Men Tv rights. Having FF in the MCU and X-Men on Tv would feel right, and an X-Men Tv show really could be great, I don't think Marvel will or should give those rights up for free though

Nice man, cool link. I visited Berlin last year, so many good Beer and food combinations, They also had all of these bier-mix combinations, which was basically Beer mixed with fruit and other concoctions, awesome stuff. Every meal you got came with it's own Beer choice too, I got a beef meal with a wheat Beer that was amazing, I'm still craving it, haha
