There is a new comic book company, and it is a non-profit!

A non-profit has been formed to provide aspiring artists and writers with the chance to create comics! They have called upon their fellow comic book brethren to help in making this happen.

Last week, a new entity was formed as the newest comic book publisher to join the industry, Imperial Enterprises. What makes them different from all the others is that they are a non-profit organization. The first ever non-profit organization looking to provide publishing opportunities to artists and writers looking to get into comics.

In order to make this come to fruition donations must be made. Three campaigns have been created to give their donors options. They are Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and GoFundMe. The goal is to be able to create three monthly titles, two are already being fleshed out, but the third title will be based on a submission from a writer or artist who will be brought on board to work on their creation. These three books will create an entirely new superhero universe.

Why is this being done? Comics are one of the most difficult fields to get into, requiring lots of time and effort for little pay. Imperial Enterprises is looking to provide their artists and writers with substantial pay and longer deadlines.

Tired of the same characters having their backstories rebooted and rehashed? This is a chance to be a part of a new wave of superheroes! All new characters, with all new stories will be told. By donating, you can be the direct cause of making this happen. Our universe will be as diverse as the world we actually live in. No more race-swapping of your favorite hero just to show some diversity, or changing the gender or sexual orientation of your favorite characters just to be more in-line with the times. Our books will already have all these things built in and will evolve as time goes by.

However, funding is needed. Investments have already been made to get everything off the ground (entity formation, trademarking, website build, etc.). All the money raised now will go directly to the artists and writers hired, as well as to publishing the books for your enjoyment. And of course, if our campaign goals are met, donors will be awarded with some perks based on their contribution.

I have been on this site since the dawn of comic book movies, so I know about the passion that every fan has to come here everyday and be a part of this community, whether to vent or to see the latest news. I too, am one of you, which is why I have come to you guys first to help make this happen.

I like seeing new companies having a shot in this industry. I hope for the best and I look forward to what characters, plus stories that will come out of this.
