We will be getting 11 movies just from Marvel studios. 12 Movies from WB/DC. 4 Movies from Fox. And 4 Movies from Sony.

So let begin. Keep in mind that I’m listing only movies that were officially announced.

2015: Only 2 movies…

May 1, 2015 - Avengers: Age of Ultron

We just got a very cool trailer for Avengers 2. This is defiantly shaping to be one hell of a movie, and also a movie that will turn the Marvel cinematic universe on its head.  Could we just skip on November-April? Because I really want to seat in that theater watching AOU.

July 17, 2015 - Ant-Man

Still don’t know how I feel about this movie, but hell, it’s a Marvel movie, we all know it will be great. At first I didn’t liked the direction they were taking with Ant-Man, but I’m starting to turn around and really like the idea. Still not very happy that Edgar Wright is no longer attached to this movie, but hey, when you get Michael Douglas playing an old Ant-Man, I’m in.

2016: 7 movies!

February 12, 2016 - Deadpool

Deadpool will be the first superhero movie in one hell of a movie year. I’m so happy we are getting a Deadpool movie, finally. I really hope that the cinematic universe will work out for Fox, because I always loved the X-Men. It will be very interesting to see how Deadpool will be translated to the big screen.

March 25, 2016 - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I truly love the Marvel movies, and they’re’ just killing it, there is no real competition right now. I’m not a DC fan boy, but I did grow up on DC, so my heart will always be with DC. I really hope this movie will be awesome and will jump-start the DC cinematic universe. And we are getting closer and closer to that movie, plus we might get a teaser in the next couple months.

May 6, 2016 - Captain America: Civil War

Oh baby! So the “Serpent Society” thing was a joke?
I don’t know if this movie will be the actually Civil War, but this is going to be great. I love that Marvel are giving the fans what they want, and seeing this amazing storyline coming to life on the big screen is awesome. Obviously it won’t be like in the comics, but I can’t wait to see Captain America and Iron Man clash.

May 27, 2016 - X-Men: Apocalypse

May I say that May will be a great month? With all the WB/DC and Marvel studios, I almost forgot that the Age of Apocalypse will soon be upon us. I really loved X-Men: Days of Future Past, and I can’t wait to see what Fox are going to do with Apocalypse.

August 5, 2016 - Suicide Squad

When WB announced their slate I said that the Suicide Squad movie is a big risk, but now I really want to see this movie. Few days ago I watched the “Batman: Assault on Arkham” movie again, and I really want something like that on the big screen.

November 4, 2016 - Doctor Strange

This movie was epic even before the news that Benedict Cumberbatch is in talks to play Doc Strange. I can’t wait to see what Marvel is going to do with this one. I really want to see some crazy magic and all of that. Little weird that this movie comes so late into the year, but I still can’t wait to see The Sorcerer Supreme!

November 11, 2016 - Sinister Six

Well, I don’t even know if this movie will actually happen, with all the things that are going on with Sony. I really lost faith in the Spider-Man franchise, and I really don’t know if Spider-Man can make a comeback. Funny how things changed for the character. But I never did actually love Spider-Man, and although The Amazing Spider-Man 2 did over 700 million dollars, I think Sony really thought that the movie will make much more, and this is why Sony is rethinking the whole franchise. Plus I think this movie will move, it’s too close to Doctor Strange.

2017 – 6 or 8 movies…

March 3, 2017 - The Wolverine sequel

To be honest, I didn’t really liked 2013’s “Wolverine”, and I’m little tired of seeing Wolverine. I still love him, but the stand-alone Wolverine movies not really working. But still, maybe after Apocalypse things will change.

May 5, 2017 - Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Guardians-of-the-Galaxy-2-Movie-Logo-Official

Loved the first GOTG, and I can’t wait to see what will happen in the sequel. I hope they will keep the hilarious tone, and have yet another really fun movie.

June 23, 2017 - Wonder Woman

Finally! Crazy that there wasn’t any Wonder Woman movie in the last 30 years. But we are finally getting a Wonder Woman movie, and I’m very happy.

July 28, 2017 - Thor: Ragnarok
thor-3-title-ragnarok

Funny that just a month after Wonder Woman, Thor 3 is coming out. WB said that Wonder Woman will be their “Thor”, so it’s just little funny. Strange that this movie is coming so late, I was hoping to see Thor 3 sooner, but now that I know that Marvel is giving us Ragnarok, and from what Kevin Feige has said, Thor: Ragnarok will change everything. I’m super happy. Bring on some epic stuff, Thor.

November 3, 2017 - Black Panther
black-panther-movie-image

Well I guess that my theory that we will see Black Panther’s origin story in Captain America were false. Damn, a Black Panther is finally coming! And that artwork looks sweet. Thanks You Marvel.

November 23, 2017 - Justice League Part 1

Now this is the big one. Out of all the movies that are coming in the next few years, the Justice League movie is the one I will sell a body part to watch right now. Get me a time machine and you get a hand/leg. Like I said, I truly love Marvel, but I’m a DC fan in the heart, so getting this movie 3 years from now is something big for me.

Sometime in 2017 – “Venom Carnage” and a “female-centered spin-off film”
Like I said, we don’t know what Sony will be doing with their movies. But there are plans to do this 2 movies, we will see if they will happen.

2018: 6 movies…

March 23, 2018 - The Flash

I’m so happy that we will be getting this movie, finally a Flash movie.

May 4, 2018 - Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
avengers-infinity-war-movies

Holy shit. So there will be 2 parts to this too? Well I really can’t wait to see what will happen. This will be Epic!

July 6, 2018 - Captain Marvel
captain-marvel-logo-slice

This is so great. Glad that Marvel is doing a Captain Marvel movie. Hope it will be set in space.

July 27, 2018 - Aquaman

I really hope to see a bad-ass Aquaman movie.

November 2, 2018 - Inhumans
Embedded image permalink

This will mark 20 movies for the MCU, Holy Shit! I actually don’t know much about the Inhumans, so that is
really cool, because I didn’t know much about GOTG, it cool to meet some new superheroes.

Sometime in 2018 - The Amazing Spider-Man 3

Oh, yes, this might also be in 2018. Good luck Sony.

2019: 3 movies…

April 5, 2019 – Shazam

I still don’t know how Shazam will connect to the DCCU, but we will be getting The Rock in there.

May 3, 2019 - Avengers: Infinity War Part 2

Part 2 of the Infinity War. Wonder how the spit will happen. But we are getting Thanos vs. Marvel!

June 14, 2019 - Justice League Part 2

Yet another Part 2, and here we might get Darkside vs JL. Holy Shit, this two movies will be beyond epic.

2020: 2 movies…

April 3, 2020 – Cyborg

June 19, 2020 - Green Lantern

Sometime between 2016-2020: 3 movies…

Man of Steel 2

A Batman Stand-alone movie

X-Force

This is truly a wonderful time to be a comic-book fan…

We haven't even had the DC/Vertigo slate announced yet. I am betting on 6-7 or maybe even 8 comic films at least every year through 2020!!!!!!! This is a great time to be comic book fan!

@Dingbat

It looks like in 2018 there is no film in June and in 2019 there is no film in July. So Batman in 2018 and Superman in 2019?

Looking at the dates, it seems oddly convenient that most of Disney/Marvel's films and WB/DC's films are placed far from each other (with the only exception being Black Panther being close to JL in November, 2017. Marvel should move BP up to August).

Actually on the topic of the DC/Vertigo slate what do people on here expect that to be?
I think Swamp Thing, Sandman, and probably a Constantine or JLD film are a given. Any other ideas?
Dingbat
Dingbat - 10/28/2014, 4:05 PM
@TronVin

Yeah that sounds right. I'll reiterate something John Campea said recently (paraphrased). There isn't some big war going on between these two companies, WB and Marvel probably actually talk to each other about this sort of stuff. The dates and the fact that this "war" is mutually beneficially (hype, publicity and marketing wise) kinda supports that theory. People aren't gonna say " oh that Marvel movie was awesome, when will the next marvel film be so I can only see those marvel movies." What they will say is "that SUPERHERO film was awesome! When is the next superhero film coming out." Know what I mean?

Can't believe we are getting Apocalypse Thanos and maybe Darkseid.
Dingbat
Dingbat - 10/28/2014, 6:17 PM
@dethpillow

Exactly. Zack Snyder has said he's a fan of Marvel and Kevin Feige has said he's a fan of DC. It's all connected. As a fan of both equally it really makes me kinda sad to see so many idiots ruining it for everyone with their fanboyism. Who cares though? Let them be insecure losers. It's the true fans that are winning.
Dingbat
Dingbat - 10/28/2014, 6:32 PM
Especially considering how historic DC and it's characters are (75 years of Batman, and 76 of Supes. I think Wonder Woman is like 74 and the Flash is as well). Spider-man is also really iconic and culturally important. It just kinda irks me when dumb ass fanboys actually believe their own BS.

Don't even get me started on how dumb the console wars are. They're worse than the fanboys on this site.

How does Fox do a Wolverine sequel now that DOFP whiped out The Wolverine from the timeline?
MileHighRonin
MileHighRonin - 10/29/2014, 12:20 AM
@dethpillow with the events that happened at the end of DOFP every film, Xmen 1-3, Borigins and The Wolverine, have yet to happen and if/when they happen they are not the exact same way.

Logan wakes up in the future at the end to a different timeline, which means the events in previous films, excluding First Class, have forever been altered.

Anything before the event of DOFP, the actual event of stopping Trask from being killed, still are a part of the timeline. For example, First Class and all if Wolverine Origins up until the Vietnam War. The WW2 scene still is a part of the timeline but the rest has been altered by the event of DOFP.

With that thought process they can't really do a sequel directly tied with The Wolverine film.
MileHighRonin
MileHighRonin - 10/29/2014, 12:26 AM
@dethpillow I know what you mean about the ability to do more stories, which is why Fox should do a tv series that takes place right after The Last Stand leading up to the future of DOFP. And you can tell any story and not worry about affecting the film franchises developing continuity because DOFP whipes them from the timeline as if they have yet to happen.
