Deadline reports that Zak Penn - who has scripted comic book movies such as The Incredible Hulk, Elektra, and will receive a story-by credit for Marvel's The Avengers - is launching his own comic series via Avatar Press. The series, called Hero Worship, will launch in July. Penn will co-write the six issue series with Scott Murphy (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), and the issues will be drawn by Michael DiPascale. It centers on Zenith, a character described as "an indestructible hero who has legions of fans following every disaster, trying to catch a glimpse of the ultimate celebrity and risking their own lives in the process. One of his fans becomes so obsessed it leads to the development of his own powers." Below is the cover for the first issue:

Because 9 month olds are generally left in the middle of a busy highway.

He's never been worth a shit at penning movie scripts, don't see why comic scripts would be any different.

@imnotwearinghockeypants Maybe the baby wasn't left there, maybe when person stopped the truck he got so excited he pooped out the baby right then. That way the baby being there makes perfect sense.

@inotwearinghockeypants: Naturally, I leave my infant in the road regularly, she loves it.

Just another example of a story getting "Penn-ed."

This guy sucks. X-Men sucked and Ed Norton had to rewrite the Hulk script to make it bearable. He's worthless.

I was watching Ultimate Spider-Man and thought if heroes really did exist nobody would live in NYC because of the damage that place takes on a constant basis, seriously think about the chances of being squashed on a monthly basis from the crap that wants to take on the Avengers.

One of the worst writers Marvel has. They should fire his [frick]ing ass. To think that he had a hand in The Avengers is just enough for me to have doubts about the film.
