DEADPOOL 3 Rumors Suggest We'll See Multiple Variants Of The Merc With The Mouth And Wolverine

New Deadpool 3 rumours have found their way online today, suggesting the upcoming MCU threequel will see multiple Variants of the Merc with the Mouth take centre stage alongside more than one Wolverine!

With Deadpool 3 now shooting in the UK, the rumour mill has begun churning out some very interesting claims about the Marvel Studios threequel.

There's been chatter online for months about the movie being a Multiversal caper that takes Ryan Reynolds' Merc with the Mouth and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine on a trip through the Multiverse, but nothing has been confirmed.

Now, though, a couple of reliable scoopers are claiming we'll see multiple Deadpool Variants and at least one alternate Logan. Interestingly, Deadpool 3's plot has even been compared to The Flash, presumably meaning these two will find themselves lost in a new timeline at some point.

Some moviegoers appear to be growing tired of the Multiverse concept, but there's a good chance Deadpool 3 can restore faith in the idea given what a hit the first two R-Rated instalments were.

Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all also set to return alongside Reynolds in the threequel.

Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen have both signed up as mystery characters, while Loki star Owen Wilson is rumoured to appear as Mobius.

Most of us had expected Marvel Studios to either reboot Deadpool or bring him into the MCU as quickly as possible. Instead, the movie will take us back to Fox's X-Men Universe, hence why Jackman is returning alongside other original cast members (Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden are all rumoured to appear).

If these latest claims are to be believed, though, they will only be the tip of the iceberg in terms of surprises for fans.

Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on November 8, 2024.

@TheHumanSpider2 - It's the Deadpool Corps. Of course they were coming eventually in a movie involving the multiverse.

@TheHumanSpider2 - ...why do you think they'll use Ryan specifically for the variants? The movies have already shown different variants have different actors. Not only that but lady Deadpool and kid Deadpool require different actors by necessity.

On top of that, it's a great opportunity to bring in other popular voice actors as other versions of Deadpool. Such as Nolan north.

@TheHumanSpider2 - Multiverse is lazy writing too, and it seems to have failed in MoM, sadly. Aside from Xavier (nostalgia) everyone else was zzz

@Origame - I have a feeling we are seeing like 10 Reynolds...probably a female Reynolds too.

@abd00bie - 20 Ryan Reynolds and the original cast from the X-Men movies, who are in their 60s...yay...

Probably will be fun! I wonder what the 2nd Wolverine will be like?

If its just a Hugh Jackman variant or another 6ft+ chiseled actor as his variant then I'm personally not interested.

This project is interesting. A lot of talk about superhero fatigue and this movie will prove if true or not.

@vectorsigma - I agree with James Gunn. It's not superhero fatigue, it's bad movie fatigue. Spider-verse and GotG3 vs Flash and Ant-Man3 I think proves that.

@Steel86 - i will also agree.

But there are some bad films that made bank too, mario for example.

And good movies flopping like Dungeons and Dragons.

Steel86 - 6/21/2023, 10:28 AM
@vectorsigma - Well thats not superhero films and I respectfully disagree on Mario.

It was interesting, they've destroyed everything remotely interesting about it to turn it into a TVA/Multiverse movie and rip-off Days Of Future Past.

@Scarilian - true. I wonder how much nostalgia can people take

@vectorsigma - flash was really bad. But the keatin supergirl scenes made me realize I still want cbm content that is actually well done. Looking forward to Bats 2 and Joker 2.

@vectorsigma -
Yeah, I'm sure a majority of people like nostalgic elements - but I think it needs the writing and quality of story telling and development to match and without that it all falls flat.

I'd rather have a well crafted story at this point than just nostalgia.

For Deadpool 3, they'd already teased the idea of Wolverine being involved and it was an ongoing aspect throughout the Deadpool films so it felt right to include him in a potential third film. Everything else however feels like its trying too hard to turn it into something it shouldn't be.

@vectorsigma - If anything it may proof Reynolds fatigue, although I don't think that's possible.
The1st

@Steel86 - He's right. For most of the last decade, 20 years really, movies have been half-assed to the point that there are only moments we enjoy about the films while the rest is a heap of stinking shite.
Steel86
Steel86 - 6/21/2023, 6:44 PM
@TheHumanSpider2 - You mean bad films that made money and good ones that don't in general?
Steel86
Steel86 - 6/21/2023, 6:49 PM
@The1st - He its few and far between we get actually good films in any genre. And most times when we do the filmmakers that did it typically can't follow it up with more good films.
vectorsigma
vectorsigma - 6/21/2023, 9:20 PM
@Scarilian - yeah, it is turning out to be something it shouldnt be.

ive heard they are adding the legacy movie xmen here too. Sounds like they are going all out on the nostalgia.
