Stefan Kapicic (Colossus) confirmed that cameras are now rolling on Deadpool 3 earlier today, and while we still haven't heard anything from Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson) or director Shawn Levy, Hugh Jackman has now taken to Instagram to (re)debut his distinctive Wolverine facial hair.
Jackman doesn't mention the MCU threequel in his post, but the actor had been rocking a full beard over the past few weeks, and has clearly shaved in Logan's mutton chops (well, they're not quite as defined as they were in the early X-Men movies) in preparation of the London shoot.
Will we finally see the iconic mutant hero don his signature costume from the comic books? Jackman has always said that he'd love to wear the suit at least once, so we'd say it's a pretty strong possibility.
The movie is reportedly filming under the working title "Tidal Wave."
Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Rob Delaney (Peter), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) And Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio) will all return as their respective characters, and they'll be joined by franchise newcomers Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), whose roles are still under wraps.
Still no official word on Cable (Josh Brolin) or Domino (Zazie Beetz).
Plot details also remain a mystery for now, but Wade and Wolvie are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A recent rumor claimed that Loki's TVA, including Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Miss Minutes, will be involved.
We have also been led to believe that Wade's MCU debut will be far more integral to Phase 5 and beyond than we first realized.
Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
