DEADPOOL 3 Promo Art Reveals Another New Look At Hugh Jackman Fully Suited Up As MCU's Wolverine

A first look at Deadpool 3 is expected to be released during Sunday's Super Bowl and, with any luck, we'll finally be able to put the rumours to one side and see what Marvel Studios has in store for the Merc with the Mouth and Wolverine.

All signs point to them travelling through the Multiverse - likely ending up stranded on Earth-616 when all is said and done - but if this is just a teaser, many of the threequel's biggest surprises will likely be saved for July. Either way, we can't wait to see these two in action.

Today, new promo art has surfaced which offers yet another look at Hugh Jackman suited up as Wolverine, mask and all. Those sleeves remain divisive but even with the typical MCU trappings (it's very busy in places), it's hard to find fault with this comic-accurate costume.

With any luck, these continued leaks mean that a whole treasure trove of promo art is out there and perhaps mere days away from doing the rounds online. The floodgates are bound to open once that trailer drops, anyway.

Take a closer look at Wolverine's MCU costume in the X post below.

Last year, Jackman revealed what led to him returning to the Marvel Universe for Deadpool 3 after bidding farewell to the X-Men hero in Logan

"When I keep thinking of me and Ryan, of Deadpool and Wolverine, which are classic comic-book rivals, there's also a dynamic that I've never really got to do before as Wolverine. I just thought, 'This is gonna be fun. Something I've never done before. I can't wait.'"

Jackman added that he "honestly" thought he was "done" playing Wolverine before the script for Deadpool 3 came his way. "I was at peace with it. I got asked every day, either in interviews or Ryan Reynolds [saying,] 'Can we do it again?' and I'm like, 'No, I'm done.'"

"I'll probably have more fun on this movie than any other I've ever done," the actor concluded.

Alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool franchise vets Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all confirmed to return in Deadpool 3.

Emma Corrin is expected to play Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen will likely take on the role of a TVA agent named Paradox. The trades have confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, and even singer Taylor Swift among those rumoured to make cameo appearances in this Multiversal adventure.

Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.

@HammerLegFoot - I'm legit dreading that sh1t at this point, the X-men and FF4 are better off going into hibernation until the activists are flushed out or at least forced to put some effort in.

Hugh is just an awesome dude. I'll miss his LOGAN. Dude nailed it every time, even though there were some films that weren't up to par.
Can't wait for DP3. It's rare to see two people who were just born for their roles in the same movie. Gonna be epic.

Oh, and honestly? I'm very much looking more forward to the marketing of this film. Ryan nails it everytime.

That's just a art drawing though.
We all remember how well that turned out for many films in the past. They use these images as "promotional material" to sucker people to watch the movie.

If Deadpool 3 grosses over $1 Billion, I truly believe that the issue with the Infinity Saga has always been the focus on the characters that don't make sense for the saga and not the characters that do. Thor Love and Thunder needed to be an epic, The Marvels needed to be an epic, but they turned an "Epic" into a shit show with Quantumania. Loki and No Way Home proved the Multiverse concept can work.

AllsGood - 2/8/2024, 10:12 AM
@SonOfAGif - Hard Core Marvel Fan Deadpool 3 will NEVER get close to 1 billion. None of the Deadpool movies even came close to 1 billion both did around 780 million worldwide box office. All the X-Men movies and Wolverine movies did even less at the box office.

My prediction is 700 to 900 million worldwide.
Jackraow21
Jackraow21 - 2/8/2024, 10:31 AM
@AllsGood - Deadpool 1 & 2 didn't have the tie-in to the MCU, nor did it have Hugh Jackman's Wolverine returning in a comic accurate suit. So this third installment has some built-in advantages over the first two. Furthermore, there's a rumored Taylor Swift cameo, as well as the fact that they will almost certainly double dip with a PG-13 cut of the film coming in the fall or around the holidays. All of those factors could add up to it doing well over a billion dollars at the box office.
AllsGood
AllsGood - 2/8/2024, 11:04 AM
@Jackraow21 - Deadpool (2016) Worldwide = $782,837,347 Deadpool 2 (2018) Worldwide = $785,896,632
AllsGood
AllsGood - 2/8/2024, 11:08 AM
@Jackraow21 - Logan (2017) Worldwide = $622,193,415. Wolverine wearing a Mask not going to change that number that much.
Jackraow21
Jackraow21 - 2/8/2024, 11:11 AM
@AllsGood - It's more the MCU tie-in, but the comic accuracy of the costume certainly helps with that hype train. Also, it's the only MCU movie this year. You're looking at these films in isolation for comps, which is fair, whereas I'm seeing a compounding effect due to the combination of Deadpool + Wolverine + MCU. But I guess we'll see. I'm optimistic about it.

@AllsGood - Well, I could be wrong. I'm not so fragile that I can't live with that possibility. Ha. I hope I'm not, but it is certainly possible. Especially in this day and age where fewer people go see movies in theaters thanks to streaming. Maybe my optimism is misplaced. I'll live regardless. Thanks. *shrugs*

@AllsGood - First one didn't do great numbers either, but that was a simultaneous release on max and theatres. None of Villenueve's releases have really set the box office of fire either, but he's a hell of a film maker. I hope it makes enough for them to greenlight Messiah.
mountainman
mountainman - 2/8/2024, 1:40 PM
@UniqNo - Messiah is what matters. That book tells the real story of Dune and the message that Frank Herbert was conveying.

Children is great too, and it closes the trilogy out well. But Messiah really re-contextualizes the hero’s journey in Dune.
Conquistador
Conquistador - 2/8/2024, 2:24 PM
@mountainman - Fingers crossed! I can even wait 5 to 10 years as long as we know its coming. Putting a few years on Chalamet's face may help with Paul's journey and eventual self exile in the end.
mountainman
mountainman - 2/8/2024, 2:34 PM
@UniqNo - There is a pretty big time jump between the books, so aging him up would make sense. Chalamet is a good actor, but he looks really young. This is fine for book 1 Paul who is a teenager.

I just hope that if Messiah is adapted, we get to see some of the stuff that happens off page between the first and second books.

I'm sure this is going to be a ton of fun. That said, as much as I enjoyed Jackman and everything he put into the role, he really was bad casting, IMO. Hollywood definitely wanted a leading man type, and didn't have confidence in putting something close to the comic version on film. Too tall, too pretty, never looked mean enough. Kinda like a tall guy doing fairly good cosplay. Fingers crossed that the MCU does better when they recast.
Shivermetimbers
Shivermetimbers - 2/8/2024, 10:23 AM
@Izaizaiza - Spot on. I've always thought the same. Tall slender pretty boy for wolverine is about as far off as I could imagine. But, Jackman did a great job with it, all things considered. Especially the last two appearances, he was great. Younger people and those who only know wolverine from the the movies think he "is" wolverine, but I still never fully got used to him as the character.
Izaizaiza
Izaizaiza - 2/8/2024, 10:28 AM
@Shivermetimbers - agreed. And to be clear, as bad casting as he was, have to give it to Jackman. Dude really gave it everything he had and made the role his own! Still, can't Wait to see who's next!
