Several sources have now confirmed that the first trailer for Deadpool 3 will be released during the Super Bowl on February 11, and we may have a vague description of what's to come in the teaser just over a week from now.
Before we go any further, it's worth pointing out that Chippu has previously released accurate details about movies like Thor: Love and Thunder and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, meaning the site has a track record which should be considered at least semi-reliable.
According to a translation of their report, "[The] trailer will naturally focus on Deadpool, who is going through a midlife crisis and has left the life of heroes behind. He now sells cars to support himself. There is a quick and striking appearance by Wolverine, who will stick his claws into his rival in the preview."
"Deadpool, in turn, receives Logan with nicknames making fun of his hair. There is swearing and the rating is definitely for adults. Furthermore, other mutants will show up."
We're expecting to see a little more than just this and have heard rumblings The Void will also be a big part of Deadpool 3's first trailer. It makes perfect sense to launch the footage during the Super Bowl, anyway, and we'll no doubt end up with at least a couple of trailers (even if they're just Green and Red-Band versions).
Oh, and a title reveal, of course!
Last month, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman confirmed shooting on the untitled movie had finally wrapped.
"The suit hides the blood. Also sweat," Reynolds said on X. "But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it's mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and [Hugh Jackman] all under the stalwart leadership of [Shawn Levy]."
He'd conclude by adding, "I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn't happen very often."
Jackman later chimed in to say, "What a ride! I’ve loved every minute of making this movie. Well, not the training and diet but the other 93.2%. To the best cast and crew, thank you! You are all aces. To two of my best mates [Ryan Reynolds] and [Shawn Levy] I literally couldn’t have done this without you."
Alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool franchise vets Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all confirmed to return in Deadpool 3.
Emma Corrin is expected to play Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen will likely take on the role of a TVA agent named Paradox. The trades have confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, and even singer Taylor Swift among those rumoured to make cameo appearances in this Multiversal adventure.
Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
