DEADPOOL 3 Rumored To Make A Fan-Pleasing Change To Wolverine's Suit In The Movie - Possible SPOILERS

Our first look at Wolverine's suit in Deadpool 3 drew an overwhelmingly positive response, but a new rumour suggests that at least one change will be made which some fans will consider to be for the best!

To beat the paparazzi to the punch, Marvel Studios released a first look at the Merc with the Mouth and Wolverine suited up in Deadpool 3 earlier this year.

Both characters look like they've stepped straight off the page, something which has been cause for celebration among Logan's sizeable fanbase. The character has never worn a comic-accurate costume on screen, with the closest we've come to seeing that being a deleted scene from The Wolverine

The only real issue for fans was the fact Hugh Jackman's clawed mutant was wearing sleeves. That's never been the case on the page and, as great as the suit looks, they do stick out like a sore thumb.

There have been rumblings online that it's to protect the actor's arms from being exposed to the elements for too long due to his previous battle with skin cancer. Now, though, we have some good news for those of you unhappy with that deviation from the source material.

According to online scooper @CanWeGetToast, there will come a point in Deadpool 3 where Wolverine tears the sleeves off his suit. It's unclear when or why that will happen, but it means we'll eventually see Jackman in a costume that's 100% faithful to the comics. It's feasible that Jackman only wanted to cover his arms for the sequence we've seen in set photos which have been shot outside.

The leaker also reiterates recent claims that, when Wolverine wears his mask, it will have white lenses and be perhaps the most comic-accurate suit we've ever seen in the MCU.

With that in mind, we'll likely end up seeing something along the lines of this recently revealed Hot Toys figure (which is based on the comics, and not Deadpool 3).

Alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool franchise vets Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all set to return in this threequel.

Emma Corrin is expected to play Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen will likely take on the role of a TVA agent named Paradox. It's also been confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, and even singer Taylor Swift among those rumoured to appear.

Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.

While a sleeveless look would be very cool, I still want you to protect yourself, Hugh.

I’m super happy to see Hugh get a comic accurate suit, but I just hope they don’t blow their load on this iteration before the new one is introduced.

@JustAWaffle - New one will likely go down a brown suit direction if keeping it in costume, or when he is suited up if he starts out not. Then potentialy if he joins the Xmen, which I hope they will hold off with at first, then he will likely end up with a team version suit.

@Apophis71 - I don’t like either of those options. Brown suit always felt like plan B. And team suit is the worst version imo. Even though First Class was very good, the costumes were the worst.

@JustAWaffle - I can understand that point of view, ultimately doing a comic accurate outfit now I guess allows more freedom when his replacement turns up by getting the we gave you what you wanted out of the way.

May continue with a variation on the DP3 look without feeling the push to be fully source accurate but kinda expecting whatever they go with at first they will want to make him standout enough to say without saying this is not the same version of Logan. However at the same time expect they will want to have enough there to show he definately is A version of Wolverine and hopefully the result turns out good.

I'm sorry but I can't imagine the sleeveless look with this particular suit, on Jackman in particular, without it looking utterly dumb, but I hope they prove me wrong. Perhaps the mask can help sell it better.

@Fares - I think what we currently have is good enough. I mean, how weird is someone that they gotta be so butt-hurt over little details?

If this turns out to be true, where does it leave the MCU’s Wolverine for improvements?
Origame

@WeaponXCII - I really think they're shooting themselves in the foot here. Sure, it's great bringing Hugh back. And him in the suit is like one of only two issues I ever had with him as wolverine (and let's face it, he ain't getting any shorter), but what else can be done with the new guy?

@WeaponXCII - Shorter height and...more animalistic characteristics.

@Origame - rom holland is foot taller than Peter Parker in comics other actors and actresses are little short and tall to comic characters height Vincent D'Onofrio is four inches short of king pin in comic world

@WeaponXCII - with any luck, the MCU will have the balls to make there Wolverine more comic accurate: shorter, hairier and more surely. Jackman made the role his own, but let's face it... He's pretty bad casting. For most of the films, he looks like a tall, handsome male model doing Wolverine cosplay

@WeaponXCII - A suit for the MCU's Wolverine.

Fares

@Repian - This goes hard. I always thought that ONE way to make Wolvie's suit look less goofy is by making inspired by Japanese mythos and armour.

Fares - 12/10/2023, 11:48 AM
@Apophis71 - These look cool in their own right, no doubt, but they're not recognizable as adaptations of the classic Wolverine suit like the art posted above. They're just Samurai armour with hints to the costume.
Apophis71
Apophis71 - 12/10/2023, 11:54 AM
@Fares - That's fair, just knew stuff like those existed so went and grabbed a couple when you suggested about 'making inspired by Japanese mythos and armour' which could be cool even if not exactly like those two examples :D
Fares
Fares - 12/10/2023, 12:07 PM
@Apophis71 - The Wolverine movie would have been a great opportunity to put Logan in armour such as these ones, but unfortunately, that didn't happen.
Apophis71
Apophis71 - 12/10/2023, 12:11 PM
@Fares - Entirely agree, huge wasted opportunities in that film
WeaponXCII
WeaponXCII - 12/11/2023, 7:05 PM
@Origame - Exactly. One of the most celebrated comic book movie portrayals ever and such a comic-accurate suit? Other than being more of a physical match, there's basically nowhere else to go. Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic that Hugh is finally getting his moment in the suit after all these years, but the new guy is bound to be compared to Hugh after stepping in his shadow. It's like they're setting him up to fail.
