Earlier today, we got the first photos of Ryan Reynolds in costume on the set of Deadpool on the closed Georgia Viaduct of Vancouver, Canada. In addition to more impressive photos that could easily be mistaken for legit promotional images, the first bit footage has now surfaced online for the highly-anticipated X-Men spinoff, thanks to Youtube's Michael Burnyeat and Instagram users.

As previously reported, today's filming of Deadpool seemingly recreated the action-packed sequence from director Tim Miller's animated test footage which leaked earlier this year. Showcasing Ryan Reynolds (or his stunt double) in the comic book faithful costume and mask, which even has the white eyes, the awesome photos and brief set footage can all be found below!

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life. Directed by Tim Miller, while starring Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa Carlysle), T.J. Miller (Weasel), with Ed Skrein, and Brianna Hildebrand (Ellie Phimister), the much-hyped Deadpool is scheduled to open in theaters on February 12, 2016.
