Tom Holkenborg (a.k.a. Junkie XL) has been busy over the last year. In addition to delivering the magnificent, pulse-pounding music for George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road, he composed the scores for Black Mass, Kill Your FriendsPoint Break, and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.  Holkenborg took to Twitter to announce he is  returning to the comic book world with Fox's Deadpool movie.

We will get to hear more of Junkie XL's collaboration with Hans Zimmer on Batman v. Superman in March, but Deadpool opens about a month and a half earlier on February 12.

Do you think Holkenborg is a good choice? Are you excited for Deadpool?

To be honnest I can't remember a single thing from his Mad Max score. But that just means that the score won't be so terrible that I can't forget it.

@WhiteSAMURAI I think his amazing trailer track for the Batman V Superman trailers is enough to show his talent. Even if Mad Max was forgettable, everyone has an off day.

I'm trying to remember BvS trailer music....

Man, I feel like I'm insulting the guy (which I inadvertently am) but I really can't remember. I don't know, most soundtracks aren't memorable but I think that's largely my fault for not remembering.

so the same guy will be doing the music for Batman and Deadpool, never thought I would see that haha but then the 1989 Batman, original Spider-Man trilogy and even part of Age Of Ultron was done by Danny Elfman, so anything is possible!

Hopefully he'll give Deadpool a soundtrack that's as epic as Brothers in Arms.
