"X-Men Origins: Deadpool" Comic Book?

"X-Men Origins: Deadpool" Comic Book?

I've got the solicitation of the upcoming comic book that has Wade telling his story, in hopes that Hollyweird doesn't screw it up, on film.

So, it seems that the guys at Marvel Entertainment aren't all that enthused about how Hollywood did Deadpool on film. Wade is even worse, it seems. Wade wants to set his story straight. I saw this and thought you guys should see it:

X-MEN ORIGINS: DEADPOOL #1
Written by DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI
Penciled by LEANDRO FERNANDEZ
Cover by MARK BROOKS
“DEADPOOL: THE MAJOR MOTION PICTURE”
You may have heard there’s a Deadpool movie in the works. Anyway, Wade Wilson’s heard the same thing — and he’s determined to tell his own story before Hollywood screws it up. Deadpool even hires his own screenwriter, who manages to get the Merc With a Mouth to open up like never before—revealing not only his origin story, but shocking details you’ve never heard before. We’re talking Oscar™ -worthy stuff here, people. That is, unless Hollywood manages to screw it up anyway…
48 PGS./One-Shot/Rated A …$3.99

Personally, I hope that this inspires Fox. Doubt it, but hope it.

...it's not like Fox listens to anything anybody has to say anyway...

@Faust: I know, I just think that it's Marvel's way of saying "HEY! You better not screw this up. You hear me? DON'T DO IT!" I mean, they have Ryan watching over it, so I think the film will do justice.

@ElBicho: He's the new "Wolverine", man.

Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Deadpool need to all get in a comic of their own and have a threeway and stay out of everybody else's comics...I swear, there is NO way these guys have the amount of time they would need to "help" all the other heroes the amount that they do...

i agree with Anil and faust. Deadpool has become the new Wolverine. and that isn't a good thing. he's got 3 titles of his own, and he appears in EVERY other book out there. and whats REALLY sad, is that Deadpool used to be an AWESOME character back when he was just a smart ass like Spidey.

but after all these writers have gotten their hands on him, now he's just a joke. he's become a complete moron. what a waste of what used to be such a great character.

and its funny that Marvel is making fun of "Hollywood" for messing up their movies, because Marvel's website ALWAYS promotes these Fox/Sony made movies. ALWAYS. if they really felt this way, then they wouldn't promote them in any way shape or form...

I'm just fine with them having plenty of comics. I wish that Multiple Man were in more comics, but he's not the kind of character that sells like others do.

WTF deadpool is always gunna be a classic character, simply cause he was originally made to get the axe... but now he rivals the best of them, so you guy who are "sick" of hearing about deadpool but still managed to call yourselves fan can get effed, the comic writers would have been told to try to put deadpool in as much things as possible to see if it is still worth making the movie, so any negative comments they read will obviously result in a less chance of us REAL getting a movie! Plus they have to increase his comic appearances to try to mend the damage that effing barakapool did to the character! although koodose on deadpool in hulk vs wolverine

I don't get why they can't make a comic book movie.... I read the watchman comic and I swear they just used it as the layout.... do that with deadpool.... seriously I wanna see it done to one of the first 5 deadpool comics, id especially love to see the one where taskmaster first comes into it, and weasel gets kidnapped, and dp gets his ass handed to him until he starts dancing
