The first full trailer for the live-action remake of Disney's animated classic
Aladdin is now online.
After the... let's say, mixed response to our first official look at Will Smith's Genie in his blue form, Disney will be hoping this new glimpse of the CG character in action will get fans on board, and we think everyone will have to admit that he does look a lot better here.
The rest of the trailer ain't too shabby, either, revisiting several beats and locations from the animated original, and giving us a brief blast of Jasmine (Naomi Scott) and Aladdin (Mena Massoud) singing "A Whole New World."
Check it out below along with a new poster, and let us know what you think in the usual place.
A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.”
Aladdin hits theaters on May 24, 2019.
