Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms received its final trailer earlier this month, teasing a darker side to the classic legend. It's certainly an intriguing take on E.T.A. Hoffman's classic tale The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, and it's an adaptation featuring an incredibly powerful cast.

Disney has released a fresh batch of character posters highlighting the star-studded talent that will help bring this tale to life on the big screen. The impressive cast includes Morgan Freeman (Drosselmeyer), Keira Knightley (Sugar Plum Fairy), Helen Mirren (Mother Ginger), Jack Whitehall (Harlequin), Misty Copeland (The Ballerina), Mackenzie Foy (Clara), and plenty more Hollywood talent.

I can't say much of the plot for Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, which follows the adventures of Clara into a strange and mysterious parallel world, but it certainly looks to be quite the spectacle. Clara's journey will take her through four magical realms, including the Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets, where she'll meet all sorts of fascinating characters.

Check out the character posters for Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms below.

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world.

Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms opens November 2, 2018, just a few weeks before Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet, another surefire hit opening November 21, 2018.

It warms my heart to see us all come together in thinking that this pile of poop of a movie will suck. 💚

I was willing to give the movie a shot until I heard Keira Knightley’s speaking voice in the trailer. It’s a cringey, grating, high-pitched baby talk sort of voice. I guess I understand why she went with a higher-pitched voice since she’s playing a fairy… but man, just thinking about it gives me a headache.
