Following the recent batch of official stills, we finally have our first proper look at Disney's live-action take on their animated classic, Beauty and The Beast. This appears to be a very faithful adaptation of the original, and should be a feast for the eyes at the very least.

See Belle (Emma Watson) encounter The Beast (Dan Stevens) for the first time below, and let us know what you think in the usual place.


Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, 2017.

@nibs - It's a movie that exists 4 times. The slight differences in these remakes/reboots doesn't warrant discussion. But yes, I was alluding to the irony of someone throwing shade at "kids movies" on a comic book movie site. Why are you here again?
