Many of Phase 4's post-credits scenes were devoted to introducing new characters, whether it's Hercules, Blade, Jake Lockley, or Clea. The latter showed up at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' credits, recruiting the former Sorcerer Supreme for a mission into the Dark Dimension.
It seems she needs Stephen Strange's help to stop an incursion, a concept that promises to be key to the Multiverse Saga as realities start colliding.
Comic book fans will know how important Clea is to the hero's story (they even ended up getting married), and Marvel Studios has made sure to enlist an A-List talent to bring the character to life in the form of Oscar-winner Charlize Theron.
Unfortunately, the Fast X star is still waiting for a call from them!
"I don't," she responds in the video below when asked if Marvel Studios has been in touch to tell her when and where she'll next play Clea. "No, I haven’t gotten a call. I've not gotten a - Is that bad? Is that bad? Is that bad? No, I’m not lying...I haven’t gotten a call. Is that bad?"
Is Theron perhaps protesting a little too much here? We'll let you be the judges of that, but the character is bound to make her presence felt again sooner rather than later. The Doctor Strange sequel remains one of Marvel Studios' highest-grossing post-pandemic releases, so a third instalment is bound to happen eventually.
We're sure Marvel Studios has some sort of plan in place, anyway, and can't imagine they'd hire Theron without signing her up for something more than just a quick cameo.
