Marvel Studios dropped a new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness shortly before the Super Bowl kicked off, but a TV spot also aired on NBC with heaps of jaw-dropping new footage.
We're still waiting on an officially released version, but you can find an HD copy below along with the original video recorded by a fan. As well as featuring new shots of Christine Palmer (Clea?) and America Chavez battling Gargantos, the big reveal here is the presence of What If...?'s Marvel Zombies.
Both the undead Variants of the Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange can be seen, and it definitely seems like this movie is going to introduce the two characters to a lot of their doppelgängers. "Defender Strange" also appears, looking very dapper in a costume that perfectly pays homage to the comics.
Oh, and in case it wasn't already obvious, yes, that is Patrick Stewart as a Professor X Variant!
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.
