New DOCTOR STRANGE Images Released; Benedict Cumberbatch Teases His "Broken" Superhero
Two awesome new images from Marvel's Doctor Strange have been released along with comments from Benedict Cumberbatch, who elaborates on what really drives this version of the Sorcerer Supreme.
It's been a weird year for superhero movies, and an argument could be made that more of them have disappointed rather than satisfied fans. As a result, expectations for Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange are high. Still, with Marvel Studios in charge and an incredible cast led by Benedict Cumberbatch, chances are it will be a hit. It certainly sounds like it will be pretty damn unique anyway.
That was emphasised by Cumberbatch in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly as he discussed what makes Strange so different. "This man reaches the very bottom and then more. You think, How much more can this guy take? He’s broken, he gets up again, he’s broken — and that’s really what makes him a superhero. A lot of people have asked me, ‘What makes him a superhero?’ That’s really the answer I should have given. It’s not the Cloak of Levitation. It’s not the Eye of Agamotto. It’s about his staying power. It’s a marathon and not a sprint. The guy endures so much."
The site has also released a couple of new images from Doctor Strange, one of which we saw earlier in a much lower quality. That shot of Cumberbatch in full on Sorcerer Supreme mode is very cool...
