DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS: Here's When Elizabeth Olsen Will Arrive On Set

Doctor Strange actor Benedict Cumberbatch revealed earlier this year that filming on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would begin late-October/early-November, and thanks to a series of social media posts from the cast and crew, we know that they've been self-isolating over in the UK (per COVID filming protocols) since the start of the month.

However, in an interview with Conde Nest Traveller, Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen disclosed that she won't be joining the production until December. Of course, whenever she arrives, she'll also have to self-quarantine for a period of time, so it's currently unknown if she'll actually start filming next month or in January.

"I am moving back soon to film the sequel to Doctor Strange, so I’ll be there for Christmas, just outside London. Even given the current circumstances, it will be a nice trip," said Olsen on her upcoming journey from the States to London.

Earlier this year, Sam Raimi replaced Scott Derrickson as director after the original Doctor Strange helmer departed the project citing creative differences. With Strange and Scarlet Witch appearing in multiple Phase 4 MCU projects, fans believe that the multiverse will be a major focal point for the cinematic universe moving forward.

Along with Cumberbatch and Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor's Mordo is expected to return, along with Benedict Wong's Wong. Rachel McAdams' Christine Palmer, who was Strange's love interest in the first film, will not be returning. Xochitl Gomez recently joined the cast and fans believe she's playing America Chavez, aka Miss America (who has the power to travel through the multiverse), who has been heavily rumored to be making her MCU debut in the film.
