Marvel Studios may have no intention of introducing the Eternals as a replacement for the Avengers, but the movie's marketing is certainly leaning in to the notion that Earth's Mightiest Heroes paved the way for these cosmic heroes to assemble!
This latest TV spot for the Chloé Zhao-directed MCU adventure once again makes it clear that the events of Avengers: Endgame signalled the arrival of these god-like beings to our planet, while also spotlighting some new footage of Thena, Makkari, Druig, and the monstrous Deviants. In addition, we hear Ikaris sarcastically(?) drop an "Eternals assemble" call to action.
We recently learned that Eternals will screen at the Rome Film Festival on Sunday, October 24 following its world premiere at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood on October 18.
Marvel's Eternals stars Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as the cosmic-powered Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Salma Hayak as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, Lia McHugh as the eternally young Sprite, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as the aloof Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harrington will also appear as Dane Whitman, aka Black Knight.
The latest MCU adventure features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind's most ancient enemy, The Deviants.
