ETERNALS Cast Reveal Extended Cut Of Mid-Credits Scene And Comment On Working With [SPOILER]

An extended (and possibly alternate) version of the Eternals mid-credits scene has been revealed, while stars Salma Hayek and Lauren Ridloff have shared their thoughts on working with that surprise actor.

In Eternals' mid-credits scene, Thena, Druig, and Makkari are on board the Domo when they're surprised by the unexpected arrival of Starfox and Pip the Troll. However, Entertainment Weekly has now revealed that an even longer version of this sequence was shot with Eros interrupting the team while they were in the midst of communicating with the Celestial Arishem.

That wouldn't have made much sense as he'd have likely taken them for judgement as he did Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos, and this could be an indication that the story changed a little with additional photography (it might also explain why the VFX for Pip the Troll was among the weakest we've seen from Marvel Studios).

The cast, though, definitely enjoyed the time they spent working with actor Harry Styles.

"He arrived, and he was just like part of us, immediately," Ajak actress Salma Hayek says. Lauren Ridloff, meanwhile, shared her own positive experience with Styles while shooting the scene.

"Chloe would say, 'Cut,' and every time she yelled, 'Cut,' the interpreter would have to run around and tap me on the shoulder," the actress recalls. "So after a couple times, Harry was just like, 'Is it okay if I just tap you and cue you when we stop shooting? I was like, 'Yeah, thank you!' That's just who Harry is: He just watches out, and he thinks: 'What can I do?'"

Marvel Studios no doubt has big plans for Styles in the MCU following the events of Eternals, and this scene definitely set the stage for him to play a key role in where the story of these immortal heroes goes next. Starfox is a fun character, too, and one with lots of potential in his own right.

Eternals is now playing in theaters!

@TheWalkingCuban - HBO max. Also I'll make my own opinions, because Dragon told me to do that.

The only real problem I have with The Eternals: Not enough Makkari! I love Makkari! She is so adorable and cool. I can't wait to rewatch that scene where she kicked Ikaris' treacherous ass and I love the disability representation, being disabled myself. I hope this will be Ridloff's big break and give more people a chance.

@Drace24 - Agreed. I’d actually rather see more of her than Flash at this point and in don’t even hate Ezra Miller like some of the people here lol

@Ha1frican - There will always be people on the internet who hate something or someone. But the vast majority will always just not have a strong opinion one way or the other. You'll just never hear from them, obviously.

Honestly, I was never into the Flash that much. Makkari is way more interesting to me.

@Drace24 - I wouldn't call it her big break as she is a big player on "The Walking Dead". Missing from episodes when she was obviously making "The Eternals", but definitely everyone welcomed her return.

@Drace24 - Yeah, Lauren's Makkari was a scene stealer for me. When she let out that cry when seeing Ikaris pummel Druig into the ground it was heartbreaking as being a deaf character it is the only sound she makes during the whole movie and you felt her sadness and pain all in that one cry. It made it all the more personal when she went to town on Ikaris and kicked his ass.

@bcom - According to Wikipedia Lauren is capable of speech, or atleast she was until she stopped using it at the age of 13 because people teased her for sounding stupid. (People suck.)

@Drace24 - I understand that a lot of deaf people can talk but just choose not to as sign is their main form of communication. I'd like to learn to sign actually. I love the fluidity of the sign movements. It's a beautiful 'looking' language.

"it might also explain why the VFX on Pip the Troll were among the weakest we've seen from Marvel Studios" humanoid Kro looked like shit too so I doubt that was the reason.

I know a good portion of the internet seems to be against Harry Styles' inclusion, but I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what he brings to the MCU.

@RitoRevolto - Why? He's actually a pretty good actor, and seems right for the part from what little I know about the character.

@MUTO123 - No clue. Just saw quite a bit of people going "omg kevin nooo" or some variations of that lol.

@RitoRevolto - Seeiously? I hadn’t seen that, but somehow it doesn’t surprise me. Robert Pattinson had delivered multiple Oscar-tier performances by the time he got cast as Batman and people were still ******** about him.

@SerKurtWagner - Yeah, I can see why they'd be that way about some guy who was in a boyband (never mind him proving he's got acting chops), but complaining about Pattinson was just dumb lol.

@RitoRevolto - I swear, it's like some bros still haven't gotten over hating these guys because all the girls crushed on them in Junior High.
