ETERNALS Stills Shift The Focus To The Marvel Cinematic Universe's New Love Story With Ikaris And Sersi

Seven new stills from Eternals have been released, with the majority putting the focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest (and oldest) love story with Richard Madden's Ikaris and Gemma Chan's Sersi.

Eternals looks set to introduce a lot of new characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while another big romance promises to take centre stage in the movie. It feels like a while since Marvel Studios has told a good old fashioned love story, but we're not sure how well things for Ikaris and Sersi will end now Dane Whitman has entered the picture.

Regardless, this timeless romance between the two Eternals is the main focus of these new stills.

During a recent interview with Indie Wire, director Chloé Zhao opened up on the importance of including a sex scene in the MCU (a franchise first). "For us to be able to show two people who love each other, not just emotionally and intellectually but also physically, and to have a sex scene that will be seen by a lot of people that shows their love and compassion and gentleness - I think it’s a really beautiful thing," the filmmaker explains.

We're assuming the scene in question involves Ikaris and Sersi, though some of the early reactions did point out that it's very tame (so don't expect anything too raunchy for a Disney movie).
