Actor Nick Frost Gives A Brief Update On SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN

Apparently Nick Frost's dwarf character, Nion will have a certain flamboyant flair in Snow White & the Huntsman.

Christopher Nolan has Cillian Murphy, Nicolas Winding Refn has Ryan Gosling and Edgar Wright has ....Nick Frost? But Frost is branching out from Wright-features having stared in the recently released Tin Tin [ I'll concede that Wright did work on the script] and in the forthcoming Snow White & the Huntsman, directed by Rupert Sanders. Contrary to popular belief, Frost is playing a dwarf named Nion not Gus. Many were skeptical of the movie but after a recent trailer drop, opinions about the film are quickly flip-flopping. In a recent interview with io9, Frost gave a brief update on the film and his role.

After discussing Tin Tin, Frost is asked about his role in Snow White & the Huntsman:

FROST: "We wrapped recently. I play a dwarf named Nion, like a color."

Is he a flamboyant dwarf that lives up to his name?

FROST: "I suppose there is some flamboyance to him! They screened 20 minutes of the film on set, and it looked fantastic. Very gothic, the dwarves bring a little comic relief to it. The battle scenes looked great."

And continuing along the Tin Tin press tour, Frost had nothing but praise for co-star Kristen Stewart while speaking to Movies.com.

Speaking about K-Stew:

FROST: "On the one hand, she’s fragile, and you want to kind of give her a cuddle. But on the other hand, she wears armor, and wields a sword like any warrior. I like that, and I think that’s quite unique.

She can, on one hand, be one thing, and literally on the flip of a coin she can turn into this other thing. So I think it should be pretty good."

And here's the trailer in case you missed it. Looks pretty good, I must admit. SWATH will hit American theaters June 1, 2012.

Snow White & the Huntsman is an upcoming fantasy adventure film directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Evan Daugherty. The film is currently in production and is slated for release on June 1, 2012 in the United States.

In a kingdom ruled by tyranny, the Evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) learns that that her stepdaughter, Snow White (Kristen Stewart), will surpass her as ruler of her kingdom & become the Fairest in the land. However, she is told by the Magic Mirror (Christopher Obi) that if she, Ravenna, consumes Snow White's heart then she will live forever, but Snow White is able to escape into the Dark Forest. To capture her the Queen recruits a Huntsman, Eric (Chris Hemsworth), to retrieve Snow White. However, the Huntsman takes pity on the young Maiden & instead of killing her brings her under his wing & with his help Snow White begins to learn the art of war. With the aid of Seven Dwarves & Prince William (Sam Claflin), who has been in love with Snow White for many years, start a rebellion to bring down Ravenna.
