Our round up of some smaller comic, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Action and CBM related movie news that may be of interest. The ladies are taking over this edition. First up Michelle Pfeiffer, who gave us a very sexy and memorable Catwoman in Tim Burton's Batman Returns, speaks to MTV about her successor to the role, (we don't count Halle Berry since she played a different character..and sucked) Anne Hathaway. Pfeiffer admits that she has yet to see pictures of Hathaway in the Catwoman costume but reiterates her feelings that she is going to do great things with the role..
"I was probably the fourth Catwoman so there have been [a few]. Catwoman is iconic, you know. She'll be brilliant in it. I actually really look forward to seeing her. She's so talented. She can do anything, so she'll be fine."
Next we have some more set pics from Neil Jordan's Vampire flick
Byzantium. Here Gemma Arterton's Momma Vamp gets bloody as she claims an unfortunate victim. Still, if you gotta go, go with a smile eh? Check out some more pics over at

And finally thanks to
Starburst this (low res) look at a cool new theater standee for [REC]3, the third installment of the Spanish Zombie horror series, the first one of which was actually very good.
In '[REC] 3: Genesis' the action now takes place miles away from the original location and partly in broad daylight, giving the film an entirely fresh yet disturbing new reality. The infection has left the building. In a clever twist that draws together the plots of the first two movies, this third part of the saga also works as a decoder to uncover information hidden in the first two films and leaves the door open for the final installment, the future [REC] 4 Apocalypse.
Genesis? Apocalypse? Nice to see they are going with such original and not at all generic subtitles. Weren't both of those used in
Resident Evil sequels? Anyway, no US or UK release date for [REC]3 just yet but it is released in Spain next March.
