Conan the Barbarian was great for its day even still. This new Conan reminds me of Kull the Conquerer, remember how good that was??? It wasn't.

Love Conan 82. The pics don't turn me on to this movie quite yet but I have high hopes.

The New Conan looks far more like the book version than this movie did. As much as I've always enjoyed this flick, it had the villain lifted from another Robert E Howard book series, Kull. And inserted into this film, why was Thulsa Doom ever in the picture? It was like watching a Batman origin movie with Lex Luthor as the baddie!

Arnie could never act for toffee but this was probably his best performance even though as Conan he was way too muscular and way too short. The new Guy they got has the right complexion and definitely the height and physique for the role, plus unlike Arnie he can act. It'll piss off the die hard fanboys whoo claim Schwarzenegger as their God but Fanboys don't read past their childhood so Frak 'em! I hope the new flick lives up to its potential and doesn't turn out a turd like Conan the Destroyer.

The new film is called Conan 3D? Movies with 3D in the title are going to look so stupid in another few years. Can't quite imagine "Gone With The Wind Technicolour" or "Star Wars Dolby" as classic movie titles somehow.

LOl, are we on the same page here let alone the same movie?

Arnie the true Conan? Classic movies? LooooooooL! Fandom really is blind with statements like that these.

I remember when these films both came out and flopped massively becasue they were so bad. I enjoyed them but they were never great movies let alone "Classic!!!" And Arnie was barely anything like the Conan from the books, he was the first to hit the screens but he was too short, too pale and his hair not anywhere near black enough let alone his ridiculously bad acting.

There was a film out at the same time that cost half as much to make called the Sword and The Sorcerer and that movie ended up a bigger success than CtB taking around the same box office yet costing half as much to make with zero film stars!
