The Mortal Kombat web series has a little competition. Wait, what? This is in theaters? Oh, ok.

I'm looking forward to the new Conan but expect it to be a less-than-good film. I also know that makes no sense. Is it just me or does that kid look oddly like a young Arnold? Maybe it's just the angle?

This movie looks WAY better than I was expecting and far better than the ignorant haters care to believe. Momoa looks like he was ripped right from the pages of the Savage Sword of Conan! I'm far more excited about this than I thought I'd be.

In the after-the-credits scene, it will be revealed that Syfy is building up to a major crossover film event: Conan vs. Sharktopus vs. Dinoshark.

@johan02

Pretentious and presumptuous much? I don't like the movie because of the low quality film making which is on display in each trailer. Whether I have read Robert E. Howard or not is irrelevant.

Low quality film making? How so? If this is meant for TV, then what would that make the original film? The trailers and information for this film already exhibit better imagery, better action and battles, a world much more accurate to Howard's world and a better overall tone than the prior film. If that one made it in the theaters, then this one most certainly will. It is relevant whether you read Howard or not, because if you didn't you don't have a clue what the film is meant to bring across on screen. In the prior film it didn't matter because it wasn't based on Howard's writings. This one is.

Correct. A movie is a stand alone piece with a single narrative. It's not a book and should be able to convey it's story on it's own merits. I doubt that everyone who loved THOR and Captain America are familiar with the comics.

Yes, Perlman looks like Bigfoot, but I think I saw that picture on this news site last month or so: http://www.conanmovieblog.com/

Have none of you watched the "When Blood is Spilled" clip? Kid Conan could eat Arnold Conan alive.

Also, Arnold has watched the film and he likes it, at least that's what Momoa says.

http://www.nextmovie.com/blog/blog/jason-momoa-conan-the-barbarian-arnold-schwarzenegger/

“I was excited to find out that he actually watched it and liked it a lot,” Jason Momoa tells NextMovie of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s reaction. “He was proud of me and thought I did a good job.”

Yes, the kid looks like Arnold and I don't think it was a coincidence.

@ Kolossus- You got it wrong, its Battlestar Gallactic: Conan vs Dinoshark.

Seriously though, I think this could be a pretty good movie if it leaves more to be desired that 3000 BC and the original Conan films. This is definitely a specified genre of people that will like this movie. I sense the majority of you are not fitting into that genre.
