Paramount Pictures and eOne's Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is now in theaters, and, like quite a lot of major studio blockbusters these days, the movie does contain one mid-credits scene.

Spoilers follow.

Most post-credits stingers are designed to tease or set-up what's to come, and while we're sure Honor Among Thieves will get a sequel (depending on its box office performance), this brief scene is really just a pay-off to an earlier gag.

At one point, the gang visits a graveyard so that Simon the Sorcerer (Justice Smith) can use a spell to reanimate a corpse in order to learn the whereabouts of a magical helmet that's vital to their quest. After a few tries, they finally get their answers, but Edgin (Chris Pine) leaves before asking one unfortunate fella his final question.

In the mid-credits scene, we see that the poor old warrior still sitting up in his coffin, begging for someone to ask him one more question so that he can return to the afterlife.

It's a funny moment, but may disappoint fans hoping for something a little more substantial or significant to the main story.

Have you been to see Dungeons and Dragons yet? If so, what did you think?

"A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people," reads the official synopsis. "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure."

Game Night directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley helmed the project, and wrote the latest version of the script based on a previous draft by Michael Gilio. Derek Kolstad (John Wick; The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) has also been hired to write and develop a separate live-action Dungeons & Dragons television show, which was recently given a straight-to-series order for Paramount+.

One of my favorite films of the year so far. So much fun. Wouldn’t mind a sequel.

@ShellHead - Nah man, that’s gotta be John Wick 4.

This movie had way more going for it than the comedy! Surprisingly heartfelt and imaginative action scenes.

The only characters who felt kinda tacked on was Regé Jene Page as the Paladin and Sophia Lillis as the shapeshifter. I expect a sequel to do more with them.

They were Great characters, but didn't get the same payoff as the rest of the crew.

I think this is how I would rank everything I've seen so far this year:
1. John Wick: Chapter 4
2. Scream VI
3. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
4. Creed III
5. M3GAN
6. Shazam! Fury of the Gods
7. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
8. 65

I watched it just the other day.
Not a bad time, at all. The MCU humour was hard to adjust to initially, but after a while I lowered my expectations and found it entertaining.

The actress who plays Doric the Tiefling was AWFUL though. Such wooden acting! Hugh Grant makes up for it with the limited screen time that he has.
I also respect them for using practical effects where possible, makes up for the wonky, PS3 graphics CGI.

3.5/5 Stars
