DUNGEONS & DRAGON: HONOR AMONG THIEVES Teaser Reveals More Of The Movie's Creatures And Monsters

Paramount Pictures has released a new promo for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (via SFFGazette.com) highlighting the many creatures this merry band of thieves will square off with in the movie.

The beloved tabletop role-playing game includes more than its fair share of creatures for this upcoming adaptation to make use of, and this video sees the cast walk us through at least some of those we can expect to see brought to life on the big screen.

Along the way, we see an owlbear, a mimic, a gelatinous cube (obviously), a displacer beast, an intellect devourer, and the dragon Themberchaud. They all appear to have been pretty faithfully adapted as well, so that should ensure longtime fans of this property find something to enjoy even if they aren't sold on this particular interpretation of the source material.

While many of them have understandably had their reservations about the movie, it looks like a genuinely fun time based on this latest sneak peek and clearly isn't taking itself too seriously. There probably is a version of Dungeons & Dragons that's a full-blown fantasy blockbuster in the vein of The Lord of the Rings, but this take looks far more commercially friendly.

In the movie, a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

The impressive cast includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure, and it arrives in theaters on March 31, 2023.

I played D&D a million years ago. I really want this to be good.

But I know it won't be dammit.

@DocSpock - same. I do think this will be fun though, but it won't do well at the BO is my guess

Lol, gelatinous cube twice! Love love love it.

I think this is gonna be spilling over with fan service and I'm there for that, but I think the actual film itself might be another Love and Thunder.
