Paramount and eOne's big-budget Dungeons and Dragons adaptation has added two more to its cast, with Michelle Rodriguez (Avatar, Fast 9) and Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) set to join Chris Pine in supporting roles.
No details on their characters were provided, but then, the trades don't really seem to know much about the movie other than the fact that it'll be based on the best-selling fantasy adventure role-playing game of the same name, and is expected to incorporate "storytelling and game-playing aspects."
We recently learned that Derek Kolstad (John Wick; The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) has also been hired to write and develop a live-action Dungeons & Dragons television series, but again, details are few and far between.
Game Night directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley are set to helm the project, and also wrote the latest version of the script based on a previous draft by Michael Gilio.
Rodriguez has appeared in the likes of Avatar, the Resident Evil movies, and Widows, and will be seen next in the latest Fast and Furious movie, F9. Smith recently starred in Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, and is set to reprise his Fallen Kingdom role for Jurassic World: Dominion.
