Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides: captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise – this time in Disney Digital 3D. In this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, and he’s not sure if it’s love-or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is set to be released on May 20, 2011!

I agree LEE! :) I loved the first one but found both the second and third movies not only hugely disappointing but actually pretty boring. (and way too long) I too am hoping that this will improve greatly upon them...it looks/sounds quite good at least!

JOSH @ Yeah 2 was pretty dull too lol agreed, the special effects were amazing but the rest meh lol.

...At least we don't have the stupid love triangle thing (if you know what I mean) and DEPP's still in it, best character in this franchise ol' Captain Jack Sparrow is, would have been total sh1t without him!

Tittie @ Yeah its a little low dude on audio, just put your volume full up! ; )

LEE: My thoughts exactly. It's a pity that they werent very good, but Disney do still make some awesome live action movies - Prince of Persia and The Sorcerers Apprentice were both great this year IMO. Have you seen Race to Witch Mountain? Heard it's quite good and was thinking about picking it up on blu-ray!

This is definitely going to be better than the second and the third one!:)... High Hopes!
Ian McShane as Blackbeard is great choice!

Barbossa has new clothes. I wonder what happened to the Black Pearl and its crew?

I bet Depp has a blast playing this role. Not a fan of live-action 3D but looking forward to this

It looks as if they are focused more on pirates and less on the unrealistic bull shi! of 2 & 3. Minus the mermaids of course (WTF mermaids? Will we see Ariel or maybe that singing lobster?)

@DoubleD Missing main characters? Did you see the second and third one? Things happen to main characters. Sometimes, ummm, they can't return, or might not return for certain reasons.
