Warner Bros. has released a brand new trailer and poster for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and it offers up our best look yet at what's to come. Eddie Redmayne stars as wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter movies. The screenplay was penned by the author of the Harry Potter novels, J.K. Rowling.

According to the synopsis, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

The cast also includes Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell, and it’s currently set to be released worldwide on November 18, 2016. Are you excited for the movie?

No interest in this, and I'm a HUGE HP fan.

It' an unnecessary, money grubbing, coattail riding CGI fest.

No thanks.

Can't wait, I hope the sequels delve into the Grindewald war! This trailer implies he'll have a presence, and that is one of the most interesting parts of Harry Potter lore!!

@DannRamm113 - Agreed! I'm hoping they have to deal with the fringe effects of the war in the US like in the prelude to WW2. Like hopefully Colin Ferrell or someone is playing an American counterpart to Grindewald, someone who wants to prepare the way for his rule in the US. Make the story bigger than just about magical beasties.
