With Venom now safely in the rearview mirror, we can start looking ahead to the next big fantasy/sci-fi blockbuster on the 2018 release calendar, which is, of course, Warner Bros,' Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

IMDb has just shared the David Yates-directed film's official final poster, which assembles the entire cast against the film's titular villain and one of the most notorious wizards in the entire history of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.
From left-to-right, the poster features Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz), Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law), Nagini (Claudia Kim), Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller), Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol), Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), and Yusuf Kama (William Nadylam).

At the end of the first film, the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander. But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise wizards and witches up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

@mcu93 - Same. However, I have a feeling the second will be better than the first.

Pretty bold move of WB to realize this late in the game that putting Johnny Depp's face on every poster is almost as bad of an idea as casting him in the first place, but I'm always down for an eclectic strategy

@BatmanBeenDrinking - They hinted he was still alive though. Very small hint, but SOMETHING of him was still very much alive. Maybe I am wrong, but I could of sworn there was at least a small hint.

David Yates doesn't get enough credit. What he's done with this franchise is the most impressive accomplishment as a director I can think of. Directing the last 4 HP movies and all 5 of the FB movies. He's committed 20 years of his life to one franchise.

@blackandyellow - And he’s been doing a consistently great job. His understanding of the material, tone and visual aesthetic just works so well with a more matured Wizarding World.

I just never really get why so many posters have the characters gazes in so many directions. In this case, why wouldn't they all be looking at Grindwewald? Some of them have that "don't make eye contact" look going and others look like they're trying to find the person who farted.
