With just over ten days to go, HBO Max has shared the official trailer and poster for their eagerly-awaited Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special event, revealing an extended look at what should be an absolutely magical night as stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) reunite on-screen for the first time since the 2011 premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part Two
Along with the legendary trio, the special will also feature Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone director Chris Columbus and a wide variety of their co-stars, including Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Ian Hart (Quirinus Quirrell), and more.
Based on all of this footage, it should be quite a lengthy reunion special that will also delve into the making of all eight films with new in-depth retrospective interviews and exclusive cast conversations that seem to split the massive ensemble into groups to discuss their different character dynamics and favorite moments, which should make things even more fun.
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts starts streaming on January 1.
