According to movieweb.com, The Province recently spoke to three-time Oscar winner composer Howard Shore, who revealed he will return to Middle Earth to compose The Hobbit. Here's what he had to say on the matter:
"We've talked about making these movies for many years, at least since 2002. It looks like finally it's going to be happening. I'll be working on it for the next three years, it's going to consume a lot of my time and work now."
Howard Shore provided the score for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Shore won two Oscars for his Best Original Score for both
The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring and
The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of The King, picking up a third Oscar for Best Original Song in
The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of The King.
The Hobbit comes to theaters November 2012 and stars Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Ron Perlman, Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Doug Jones, James Nesbitt.
