Hugh Jackman In Talks To Play 'Blackbeard' In PAN

According to Variety, Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to play the pirate Blackbeard in Joe Wright's Pan. We had heard that Javier Bardem was Warner Bros.' first choice to play the villain, but after he passed they went to Jackman. The X-Men actor seems dead set of playing a bad guy, as he was apparently also weighing up the antagonist role in WB's remake of The Incredible Mr. Limpet. This new origin story for Peter Pan is said to revolve around "an orphan who is taken to the magical world of Neverland where he becomes a hero to the natives and leads a revolt against the evil pirates". Captain Hook will be in the movie too, but he'll start out as Pan's friend before betraying him. Variety also report that Ryan Gosling was in line to play the Hook role but declined. WB are expected to do an open casting for the title role of Peter Pan, and are also looking for an actress in her mid-20s to play Tiger Lily.

So it's basically X-Men First Class meets Peter Pan with Peter and Hook being friends and then turn enemies at the end after the beat a common enemy and something happens.

hugh jackman should play a Wolverine with costume and hunch a little or let cgi make him look shorter than he is and he would be the DEFINITIVE WOLVERINE

i think Hugh started to change as an actor. First Les Miserables, then The Wolverine. Then Prisoners.

I still have to see Les Miserables and Prisoners though to fully appreciate his talent.
