Young Irish actress Ruth Bradley (In Her Skin) has landed her first US acting role in ABC's take of the story of Beauty And The Beast. There are currently two shows in development, the other at the CW. Their version will be a reboot of the '80s series with Linda Hamilton and Ron Pearlman, whereas the premise of this one is detailed below..

A fantasy re-imagining of the classic Beauty and the Beast tale wherein an embattled princess, Grace (Bradley), discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast, Shiro (Scottish singer-actor Darius Campbell), a mercenary bodyguard.

Not too much to go on yet then. Apparently Bradley's casting comes on the heels of the Sundance premiere of her new movie Grabbers. I doubt this show airs Stateside, but she is best known in Ireland for her role in the tv series Love/Hate, in which she stars alongside Aidan Gillen (Game Of Thrones, TDKR) and Robert Sheehan (Misfits). The Pilot will be directed by Yves Simoneau from a script by Jon Steinberg.
