Merlin: Exclusive Interviews with the Entire Cast

If you haven't seen the BBC's Merlin yet, tonight is the perfect opportunity to do so: the show -- which does for Merlin and King Arthur what Smallville has done for Clark Kent -- makes its second season debut on the Syfy Channel, and Earths Mightiest has interviews with the entire cast.

Ah, this is a great show. Although I can understand the skepticism of some people towards the show since it is completely different from the actual mythos, I can look past that and just enjoy the show for what it is. It's a refreshing new take on an old legend, and it is very entertaining. Some of the banter between Merlin and Arthur is just hilarious lol

Oh, I think it's great. I've decided to look at the show the way I do Smallville -- it's an alternative look at the mythology, ultimately getting to the same place, but just taking a different path to get there.

I really enjoy a number of BBC series. I'll have to check this one out.

Yeah, it'll probably have to revert back to the old mythology to please some of the people that are upset over it. I'm going to assume that Arthur will die at some point, and Merlin (when he's an older wizard) somehow...time travels...or something and helps out Uther and whatnot to bring Arthur to life, which will follow the actual legend. I don't know.

It's just way too different in some aspects, so either this story is gonna stay the way it is (Arthur and Merlin growing up together), or something is gonna change in the last season. I don't know lol Don't really mind either way, as long as they continue with the quality they did in the second season.

I'm up to episode 11 of season two and it's pretty great.

Zero - Totally agree with you on your assessment - it's a updated fresher version of the classic (think 'Smallville' meets 'Camelot'). I'm looking forward to watching the next season.

Ed - How the HELL did you see Season Two? Is it on YouTube, or do you live in the UK?

@Ed: Yeah, the second season was pretty damn good. I watched all of it a few months ago. I can't wait 'til the third season starts up.

I think that's why this show was made. The creators really liked Smallville and how it's about the younger years of one of America's most popular icons, so they wanted something of their own: King Arthur and Merlin.

Yeah, I really like the show, too.Besides Red Dwarf and Dr. Who, I've never really paid attention to British sci-fi/fantasy.I'd only watched the sitcoms.Over the last few years, they've started to create some really entertaining genre shows.

Merlin
Torchwood
Being Human
Misfits
No Heroics

I especially loved Misfits. It's like they took Heroes, made it funnier, more vulgar and just overall better. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out.
