We've seen a few of these handsome fellas in concept art and toy form, but here are our first good movie glimpses. There's also a better quality shot of a Troll, and a distant view of The White Council. Check em out after the jump..

The adventure follows the journey of title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers.

Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever…Gollum.

Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths of guile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s "precious" ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14th.

grayfox117, definitely from a trailer.

Manu Bennett who plays Azog tweeted something like "Look out for me in the trailer" last month, and the creator of the RED camera recently mentioned seeing a new trailer for The Hobbit.

Whenever a new trailer is rated it will show up on this site: http://www.albertafilmratings.ca/recentclasstrailers.aspx, and then it should take a couple of days before it pops up online.

I love it that they made different Goblins. Understandable of course due many reasons and the reason like most is that they're from another place :P

Can't wait to see this film!

I like the goblins. Having killed hundreds of them over the years It's cool seeing them on the big screen. I am sure many nerds will agree

this looks great. i would feel terribly disappointed if we got to watch the same orcs and goblins over and over again. they have a big variety of subcultures and different tribes in the book. plus, the book is more child-friendly than LOTR. These goblins actually look like these drawings by alan lee:

Nice creatures but I've heard complaints that it looks too much like a soap opera because of the high FPS they used. I hope it doesn't take away from the movie.
